Emerald arrives at Rick's camp mostly remaining silent through the whole journey. Her plan is simple. Once he looks away, she'd slip something in his drink to incapacitate him long enough. What she doesn't know is that the plan won't work as easily as she expected. Emerald assumed Rick wouldn't want to spend a moment away from her but to her surprise he just gives a kiss on her forehead and has her directed to a separate tent.
She stops the maid leading her and asks Rick about meal plans she tells him she's starving he nods towards the maid without saying anything. The maid tells her she'll bring her something once she's settled in. Emerald is disappointed by this but she doesn't argue it to avoid suspicion. She suspects Rick doesn't fully believe the compromise yet.
