"Stay close," Alia whispered to Rhiannon, fixeing her eyes on the distant figure of Emerald moving through her celebrating pack.

They moved like ghosts through the outer buildings, avoiding the main celebration. Alia led them toward the grand hall of Emerald's pack house, where ancient stone walls held centuries of pack history.
