"We're doing it," he said, voice low but steady, no arguing allowed. "Scarlett's got a point, so we've gotta think things through. Getting trapped or drawing attention, is what we can't risk."
His eyes moved to Rosa. Seeing how she hardly makes a sound, and climbs better than anyone, she's the obvious pick.
Then he turned to Scarlett. With her knowing exactly what's at stake, teaming up with Rosa just made sense. As for Sera, she'd stick with him, both keeping watch from above.
"Clara, you spot things we can't, let us know when it's unsafe. Warn us before anything collapses around us."
For once, he spoke without hesitation, laying things out like it was obvious. Not a single pause or doubt creeping in. Instead of fumbling, he looked at what each person could do - then put them where they fit. Glances moved around the group, quick but clear. Without words, everyone got it.
