Beta Lucas reported to Black the punishment for Hanson imposed by the Law Enforcement Department.
The basic penalty was an apology in public and a fine. The fine was awarded to the victim, Donna. There were also economic sanctions: the Red Moon Pack's external transaction tax increased by 30%. The last penalty was the most severe: Hanson and Monica got punished with a year’s "Restriction and observation."
"Restriction" refers to the double restrictions on personal activities and participation in political activities, while "observation" means that investigators from the law enforcement department supervise the implementation. The person punished needs to report their whereabouts in writing to the investigator every day.
“The restriction and observation also include an important clause,” Lucas said. “During the period of punishment, if Hanson and Monica commit a crime again, their guilt will double.”
"Humph, I guess they will use the clause soon." Black laughed sarcastically.
