Chapter 2 - CH -2 GRANDPA'S WISH

When my sister Anna and I visit our grandfather, we realize that he is very ill and confined to his bed. He doesn't have much time left. I meet him, and he tells me that he still loves my mother (his daughter). My mother was my grandfather's only daughter. That's why, even after severing ties with my mother, he couldn't forget her. But he never told my mother this. So, while trying to make amends for my mistakes, he transfers his entire business to me and my sister. While we were talking, his condition worsened, and the doctors advised me to leave the room. Then I met my grandfather's right-hand man and close friend Rohan, who was one of the top three swordsmen on this continent.

Then Rohan introduced me to the whole family. In my family, there is my grandmother, Mama, my aunt, her son, and several other family members. A few days later, my grandpa left us. My sister and I were now getting used to living here. While we were settling in, it had been two weeks since Grandpa's death. Then one day, Rohan said that it was time for me to take over Grandpa's business. He wanted to introduce me to some important people. So, I had to get ready in the morning so he could take me to meet them. In the morning, I got ready and waited for Rohan. Then Rohan took me along to see grandpa's business and to make the introductions.

Rohan introduced me to the entire board of directors, but no one was willing to accept me as the Owner because they saw me as an outsider and couldn't understand how someone from outside could become the owner of their company. Understanding this, Rohan said that if I wanted to become the owner of the company or get them to work in my favour, I would have to prove myself. I don't know how the day passed amidst all this. Later, Rohan and I went to the mansion. I was standing on the balcony of my room, lost in thought, when I saw several guards attacking a girl. But that girl defeated them all. I asked my servant who she was, and he told me she was Prerna, Rohan's daughter. Like her father, she was a swordswoman. I realized I hadn't seen her in so many days. The servant told me she had been at the academy and had just come home for the holidays. She was very beautiful—I had never seen such a beautiful girl before. Lost in thoughts about her, I didn't realize when morning came. The next morning, I headed toward the training ground. The servant had told me that she spent most of her time there so she could become a great swordswoman like her father.
