Alex Elliott remained silent, sipping his drink slowly.
The woman took a couple of steps forward but eventually turned back.
"Sir, it's getting dark. You should leave soon. I heard on the news it's going to rain today."
Alex lowered his head slightly, a flicker of sarcasm passing through his eyes. He knew this was one of Daisy Sanchez's tricks. She had deliberately found someone who looked exactly like Sylvia Byrne to appear around him. Daisy must have underestimated him. Sure, he liked Sylvia, but that didn't mean he was only attracted to her face.
"Thanks for the warning. Could you please move? You're blocking my light."
Alex's voice was calm and steady, as if he were discussing something mundane.
"Go back and tell Daisy Sanchez to stop using such cheap tactics."
The woman's face changed instantly, and she clenched her fists tightly. "Sir, I have no idea what you're talking about. Who's Daisy Sanchez?"
Alex slowly lifted his head, his eyes carrying a hint of menace.
