The words from Martin Riley felt like a slap across Crystal Lee's face. Her smile was barely holding on.
"Mr. Riley, I didn't mean it that way. I was just expressing how rare it is to find a good man like you."
"That just shows how little you've seen," Martin replied bluntly. He wasn't one to play games, and he was almost certain this woman had ulterior motives. She must have somehow learned that his beloved Crystal Foster was his heart's desire and approached him on purpose.
What people outside didn't know was that Crystal Foster, thought to be dead, had been reborn as Sylvia Byrne, his rightful wife.
"The company's projects have designated contacts. Crystal, you don't need to come to me. Please direct any work-related matters to our project manager. I don't meet just anyone."
Martin gave Crystal Lee a cold glance before turning away. Henry followed closely behind, casting a disdainful smile at Crystal as they passed her.
Once inside the office, Henry shut the door.
