After a night of intimacy, Crystal Foster felt like her body was falling apart. She lazily leaned against Martin Riley, not wanting to move at all.
"Crystal, there's something I need to tell you."
"Hmm? What is it?" Crystal mumbled, barely able to open her eyes as if her eyelids were fighting each other.
Martin gently stroked Crystal's smooth back, savoring the softness of her skin before speaking.
"Hyland Riley found out that Stella and the child died in the explosion. He tried to harm himself in prison."
Crystal's eyes snapped open. "Is he dead?"
Martin shook his head, his deep eyes filled with a cold intensity. "Letting him die would be too easy. Since he has suicidal tendencies, they've moved him to a new place in prison where he's watched constantly to ensure he doesn't die."
Crystal relaxed, murmuring a sleepy acknowledgment as she rested her head on Martin's chest and drifted back to sleep.
