As she was about to be decapitated, Dina went all in. She transformed entirely into shadow, grabbed her severed arm with her mouth, and fled.
Sonia, thinking she had decapitated her, had let her guard down and watched her escape.
Making the ether sword vanish from her hand, she said:
"I'm sure we'll meet again. You must be furious, little one, and next time, I won't miss. Your head will roll."
"Well, I'm pretty disappointed," said Hikiri.
"Since you surprised me, I thought you were rank eight or nine, but no, you're just rank six. That's disappointing," he added.
The man on the ground, covered in cuts, had only one arm left.
"You know, my last fight was tougher. I don't think they were rank eight, and yet I struggled against them. But you, unfortunately, were alone against me," said Hikiri.
"Shut up, I'm going to kill you!" shouted the man, quickly getting up and charging at Hikiri.
"You're starting with your speed delusions again?"
Annoyed by the man, Hikiri created multiple air blades with his katana and turned them into slashing winds aimed at the man.
"I'm the man who'll surpass a thousand miles an hour!" the man yelled.
"Fine, and I'm Windamillion," Hikiri retorted.
The man was torn apart by the wind.
"Since you're pissing me off, even your bones are gonna be destroyed!" Hikiri declared, unleashing another Windamillion.
"Damn it, you really busted my ears with your nonsense! Why do I always end up with the loudmouths?" Hikiri grumbled.
Suddenly, a shadow approached him.
"Now shadows? Damn, this day is seriously crap!"
Igniting his katana, Hikiri prepared to attack when the shadow collapsed to the ground.
"…Am I dreaming, or is that turning human?" Hikiri said, mouth agape.
"Haaa, it's true! Dina can turn into a shadow! Didn't miss much, did you? You lost your right arm, and your left arm's twisted to… Yeah, I'm gonna use your arm as a wrench now!" Hikiri joked, meeting Dina's glare.
"You bastard! I lost an arm and nearly got decapitated, and you're making jokes about my broken arm?" Dina yelled.
"…Listen, I got nothing against you, Dina, it's just…" Seeing Dina's glare, Hikiri shut up.
"Good. Now heal me, because if I die, it's you I'll come back to haunt!" Dina snapped before passing out.
"This is all your fault! The whole fight, you were busting my head with your speed nonsense. You made me bitter, and I needed to blow off steam and mock someone, and it had to be one of the girls!" Hikiri growled, pointing at the man's blood—the only thing left of him.
"Damn, she passed out. Don't die! If we're down to five, this mission will fail before we even reach the fort!"
