He opened it and found the ritual written in a hybrid language between Latin and ancient Hebrew:

Then in the margin:"Choosing the third means redeeming the gate or opening it. The choice is not yours alone."
Edwin began to hear whispers again, but this time inside his head. Lilith's voice echoed:
