Elara sat at the edge of her bed staring at the talisman she's holding, had seen it on the floor of the room Damien stayed at when he visited
Anything sorcery or black magic was considered a taboo in the village, the only shaman in the village was banished
She now resides outside the village, some villagers still visits her secretly for her help, but they must not get caught or else they would also get kicked out
Elara stared at it in astonishment, how did this get into the village and what was it doing in Damien's room
It could only mean one thing, someone had put this in his room, she is just so unlucky to be the victim,if only she had turned back when Sadie told her to follow her but it is too late
Her father is planning to get her married to Damien as soon as possible, he was able to contact him through the workers since the project started two weeks back

She looked back sadly at the village where she lived her whole life and tears rolled down her cheeks, she was being taking to the city in a car while everyone else took the private helicopter, she already know how her life would turn out from now on, she looked down at her belly and rubbed it fondly
she would protect her baby no matter what .
Elara came down from the car holding her wrapped luggages, and followed the butler
he was the first person to be nice to her and even addressed her as Ma'am and also offered to carry her luggage but she refused
He told her to follow him and she did, she could feel the maids dirty gazes on her, they were even gossiping and could even hear some of their bad comments
She just ignored them and followed the elderly man
"Stop" a loud voice boomed from the door and Elara almost fell due to shock,the sound of heels clicking could be heard the next second as Diana Blackwood walked towards the two
As soon as she got close enough she slapped Elara
"B*tch" she cussed and slapped her again on the same cheek forcing tears out of Elara's eyes, she held her cheek in shock and turned to face Diana again
"It was all your fault bitch,it was all because of you" she yelled
"Just you wait,if anything happens to Eve I'll end your already miserable life myself" she threatened and stormed out angrily
Elara stared at her retreating figure and sighed softly,if she got slapped on the first day just how hard would her life be in years to come
"That's master's sister, lady Diana" the butler's voice snapped her out her reverie, and she nodded, she already guessed that already
"With Time they'll learn to accept you" the man said and she nodded again and he started walking again and she followed
They got to last room in the corridor and the man opened it and showed her, he looked slightly embarrassed but she found nothing wrong with it, it was quite big and has an average bed,it was much bigger than what she had back at home
But the truth is, compared to other room in the mansion this was the worst,in fact it was just a store built for storing the reserved cleaning equipment for the workers
After the butler left she sat on the bed untied the clothing she used to wrap her clothes, she brought nothing much
All she brought was a dress which Liam had gifted her on her birthday,the jewelry set her mother had given her before she left and lastly some of the books bought for her.
She remembered what he told her the day he gave her those books he said if she ever got lonely the best is to read,of course, then she thought he was just spewing nonsense
But right now if lonely was a person that would be her, she had no companion right now and no one to talk to, maybe if she read it might help forget some of her sorrows
Her mind wandered to Liam again, this time she couldn't hold back her tears
"Brother, I'm scared" she muttered
the door creaked open and she quickly wiped her tears,two maids entered each holding a tray
The first one placed it on the table in front of her bed roughly spilling some of the soup on her and she flinched
"You must be the country bumpkin who seduced our Boss" the first one said staring at her in disgust
The other girl also placed her tray beside the first one and they both faced her and she shifted back
"You're just a desperate b*tch who goes after rich men, you're shameless, miss Evelyn almost lost her life because of you b*tch, you ruined their happy union, you..."
"Stop" Elara yelled covering her two ears with her hands
"Why are you doing this, you guys should leave me alone" she cried
"What you're feeling guilty already? do you think you'll live if anything were to happen to miss Evelyn, you're just an insignificant fly, getting rid of you is no big deal for boss" the other chipped in
"Sl*t" she added and they both left, Elara's grip on the bedspread tightened.

Damien Sat beside Evelyn's bed holding her bandaged wrist, she's still unconscious, she had tried to commit suicide yesterday and she was quickly rushed to the hospital, and luckily she survived.
He remembered the day he broke the News to her, she had laughed saying it wasn't true and had thought he was pranking her, when she got to knew he wasn't joking, she had cried begging him to tell her it's a joke
"Don't leave me pls, I'll die if you do" her words rang in his ears and his heart full of regrets he was no trying hard To control his tears
"I'm sorry" he muttered hugging her
Evelyn's eyes fluttered open and she could feel a weight pressing her down
She moved and he quickly sat back and held her face in his palms
"Eve" he called affectionately, but she slapped his hands away instead
"Leave" she said turning her face to the other side of the bed
"I'm sorry Eve, pls you don't have to.."
"Leave" she yelled cutting him off and he stood instantly
She's very nice but once she's angry, nothing can stop her,he could only turn to leave, angering her is out of the options now as she's still recovering
He turned to glance at her again he could hear her sniffing and he sighed, he took another glance at her bandaged wrist again and Left.
