Chapter 3 - A Ruthless schemes CeO

Fionas POV.

Fiona a young girl depressed and a bit tired of the man they called her future husband.

Desmond the Ceo of his company sat not caring about the beauty before he was clearly occupied with work.

Fiona looked out the window and tried to start a conversation.

" I saw a girl pushing a cart with someone on it."

Desmond nodded.

Fiona was to study in a prestigious institution but her father tore her scholarship paper before her eyes.

As soon as she got married to Desmond she could go to as many universities as she wanted, and study to her hearts content.

Fiona decided to take the bulls by the horn and address the situation.

"Will I be allowed to attend college after marriage?." Desmond sneered at her, he had had enough of her mumbling.

"Will you let me work please, go and watch the TV or something." He ordered gesturing with his hand.

She followed the direction his finger pointed at, she almost fell when she got to the stairs.

Desmond could not help but laugh.

' Was he really serious about getting married to that, the only good thing about her is her irrisistable beauty.' He spoke to himself.

As Fiona turned the TV on, she saw someone extremely familiar. It was the girl she carried back to the classroom the other day.

She was missing.

Flashback…

" Can you help me understand this part, it's just too difficult." Angelica onced asked her during lunch time.

Fiona was too depressed to respond, she simply walked away.

Angelica followed her every where she was extremely irritated, but now as she watched the news she felt sorry for her.

"Anyone who brings back this girl will be rewarded with…"

The screen suddenly turned dark, she did not realize that Desmond had being standing behind her.

"You insult me by watching such useless things." He remarked.

"That is my friend." Fiona said in a low tone.

Desmond hated it when girls talked back at him, he was there master and nothing more.

"You are grounded!.". He said authoritatively.

Fiona could not believe her eyes, 'grounded really?.' They were not even married yet and he was already grounding her for goodness sake she was not even a child anymore.

"How dare you glare at me, I said go upstairs." Fiona refused, she stared at him though scared she sat still not moving one bit.

She finally thought of a plan, return Angelica to her father keep the reward and then go to school she would not need his help anymore.

A firm grip on her hair interrupted her thoughts.

"No one has ever dared disobey me, not even my parents and you sit here like a statue when I speak to you."

Desmond was about to hit her when she held his hand, her reflexes kicking in.

"I am your wife and not a slave." Desmond laughed, his laughter echoed, he laughed so hard he fell.

"I bought you from your parents, you are mine and will do as I say." Fiona fell on the bed, her parents sold her, it could not be .

"You are nothing but a liar!."

Desmond locked her in the room, he would set her free when she comes back to her senses, unaware of the window behind her.

It was a risky jump but she was willing to make it count.

Her minds eye flashback at the two girls she saw running to an unknown direction, she was willing to help them, by helping them she could also set herself free.

"Is she dead?." A couple asked as

Fiona fell right into there apartment.

She stood up, her hair filled with dust.

"I'm looking for a girl who was in a cart."

The couple looked at her strangely.

"Let me call the police." Fiona ran as fast as she could, if she was to get arrested her parents would not even try to look for her.

Outside she found Hailey still running with Angelica, beads of sweat on her forehead.

"Hey wait. Angelica." Hailey ran even faster she thought some reward hungry person was after them.

Mean while the couple wasted no time informing the police.

"Yes a strange girl just broke through out ceiling, we think it has something to do with the missing girl on TV."

The old lady smiled, if they were right thaat reward would be there's.

Her husband laughed but it was shortlived when a bird pooped on them, how were they going fix the ceiling now.

"Angelicas friend." Fiona kept on calling. "Please stop I'm here to help, I'm her friend from school."

Hailey reduced her pace as she heard Fiona was a friend from school.

They both Angelica to a safe place.

After Hailey explained why they ran to Fiona, she felt selfish to think she wanted to return her to a rapist. She would rather run away with them, away from her abusive fiance.

"But the three of us together have no money, how would we feed or survive if we run away."

Hailey thought for a bit. She reminded herself that she had a bigger purpose she wanted Angelicas father's wealth for her self.

The fling she had with his daughter was meant to be a one night stand, but now things have gotten out of hand.

"My fiance is very wealthy, if we could convince him." Hailey interrupted Fiona before she could even finish.

"Don't talk about rich people or wealth to me, rich people are what's wrong with the world. I mean look at miserable we all are, I say we get a job or strip or something but don't mention those people again okay." Fiona nodded.

For the first time she was happy, as the only child she grew up alone, the flowers were her best friend, she missed them even now.

Hailey ignored the fact that she was crying, she looked at the way Fiona stared at Angelica and immediately became agitated.

Angelica was hers, and hers alone.

"What are you doing?." She questioned loudly, making heads turn in the streets.
