Note: Years "Before XXXX" refer to Before the Imperial Calendar (BIY). Year One of the Imperial Calendar marks the founding of the Gulenia Empire (the timeline is roughly twice as long as real-world history, with later periods converging closer to reality).
Before ???? BIY:The solar system forms, with seven planets, from the innermost to the outermost:Mogris (The Swiftest: God of Time), Lilith (Veiled Maiden: Goddess of Magic, called Venusa by humans, meaning "Golden Virgin"), Shim Amba (The Cool World: Land of Dragons and Neanderthals), Crimson Maris (Glorious Wrathful One: God of War), Deos (The Supreme: Chief Deity, called Zubait by humans), Brigid (Surrounded by Halos: Goddess of Harvest), Azure Posetila (Master of Winter: God of the Sea).
Interstellar space is called the Aetheric Firmament, as the cosmos itself is composed of the fifth element: Aether.
Circa ???? BIY:Dragons and prehistoric giant invertebrates emerge on the third planet, Shim Amba.
Circa ???? BIY:Dinosaurs appear on Shim Amba.
Circa ???? BIY:The Ancient Elves, piloting asteroid-sized arks, traverse from another universe into this solar system, making landfall on the second planet, Lilith (Veiled Maiden: Goddess of Magic).
Before ???? BIY:Certain special events occur. The sun undergoes changes, the planets heat up, and the air fills with sulfur. Even with elven magic, Lilith becomes uninhabitable—its rotation slows, days lengthen, day-night cycles grow unbearable. Most elves evacuate to Shim Amba, save for a handful who remain on Lilith for its unique materials: starwood harder than steel, solidified magical crystals, vast stores of aether, rare "annihilation black spheres" (like black holes, but weaker), and wild quadruple-arcane weathered trisulfur helium aggregates. The immobile holy relic Starbreaker is also left under their protection.
Before ???? BIY:The Stellar War erupts over planetary control between Ancient Dragons and Ancient Elves. Elven supreme magic—Mass Extinction—summons a massive asteroid to strike Shim Amba, annihilating most life including the first Emperor Dragons. Only five second-generation Emperor Dragons and their offspring survive. Realizing the war might destroy their beloved home, the dragons and elves form a tentative alliance.Due to rampant summoning magic, creatures such as orcs, goblins, halflings, lizardfolk, and unicorns are drawn to the world. The five surviving second-generation Emperor Dragons: Gold Dragon "King of Time, Acyun," his mate Sapphire Dragon "Queen of Magic, Idilly," Granite Dragon "Grand Master, Nidhogg," Crimson Dragon "Master of Life, Monasha," and Emerald Dragon "Queen of the Moonlit Night, Tsukuyomi."
Year 41962 BIY:The legendary elven twins, Arien and Marx, are born.
Year 36000 BIY:The Ancient Upper Elven Star Singers—a title reserved for the mightiest elven bards—reshape planetary orbits through the Supreme Words of Creation, making the leylines of Shim Amba richer, but incidentally triggering an ice age.
Year 21500 BIY:A ten-thousand-year ice age causes giant ground sloths, saber-toothed tigers, mammoths, and Neanderthals to go extinct in most regions. Only mammoths and dire wolves survive in the Arctic, and ground sloths nearly disappear from Shim Amba.
Year 18000 BIY:With Neanderthals extinct, humans take the stage of history.
Year 11000 BIY:The first human civilization—the Sumeru civilization—emerges in today's Eta region.
Year 10000 BIY:The first powerful human empire, ruled by Pharaohs—the Ijit Empire—arises in the desert, building pyramids to seek rebirth after death.
Year 9550 BIY:Legendary twin Marx falls in love with Arien's wife, Queen of Elves, Sage, Sword Singer, and Star Singer Ida Belian. Out of jealousy and hatred, Marx breaks with his brother. The elves split into High Elves (led by Arien) and Dark Elves (led by Marx), dragons too choose sides. Marx opens the Gates of Hell; endless demons invade Shim Amba, and the apocalypse begins.
Year 9223 BIY:During the apocalypse, the King's Sword—first among the Elven Three Sacred Swords—appears in today's Zhendan. High Elves and the Xuanyuan Tribe defend the sword together, using it to destroy a Hell Lord. The sword, called the Xuanyuan Sword by the locals, unifies the Zhendan tribes for the first time.
Year 9217 BIY:A hell-like pocket universe parallel to reality, known as the Demon World, draws Marx's attention. Its Demon Emperor is second only to the seven Hell Princes in power, stronger even than the mightiest dragon king, Acyun. Marx summons the Demon Emperor into reality.
Year 9216 BIY:The King's Sword vanishes from history. Some say an old human once found it and used it to destroy the Demon Emperor's avatar.
Year 9215 BIY:High Elven High King Arien, wielding the Warrior's Sword—Holy Sword, Flame Sun—strikes down his brother Marx with the world-shattering Arien's Strike, splitting today's Britannia (Aililand) and Erni Islands from Rosenland.Marx, wielding the Mage's Sword—Holy Sword, Moonlight—has already turned it into the Demon Sword, Dark Moon, which is blasted into an Ijit pyramid during a dark ritual, striking the Pharaoh. The Pharaoh, absorbing all of Marx's hatred and dark power, is cursed as the first vampire—the original Undead.
Due to a chain of misunderstandings, the dwarves—intended allies—kill Arien as he lies dying, forging a millennia-old enmity with the elves.
Year 9214 BIY:The ancient apocalypse ends. Most dark elves retreat underground, save for a few in the southernmost new world and Antarctic dark towers. Of the five dragon kings, only Acyun survives, and only his and Idilly's child, Narsasha, inherits her mother's magical power.
Of the thirteen Elven Sages, only one survives: the eternal queen of High, Wood, and Sea Elves; mother of all kings; born in the radiance of the stars; sword singer, star singer, dragon-tongue, Lilith's emissary, friend to dragons, pure and flawless, astral wanderer, seer and prophet, the Ever-beautiful, Jewel of Shim Amba, Keeper of the World Tree, Master of Aether, Steward of the Holy Relics, Eternal, the Resplendent Star, Light of Lights, Ellen Anka (Elvish: Brightest in the Sky), Ida Belian.

Year 9131 BIY:Prince Ramesses and his sister seal their necromancer sister Annette Nitocris as a bound mummy in her pyramid. Originally, all his sisters were to be bound, but at his sister's request, Ramesses alters the seal at the cost of his soul. In gratitude, his sister forges the Ramesses Covenant—a one-time absolute obligation she can never refuse.
Year 8600 BIY:A powerful nine-tailed fox appears in Zhendan.
Year 8500 BIY:Elves withdraw to the western overseas Fairyland from their global colonies, which become homes for humans, especially those who once fought beside the elves. The old elven colony of Gereka becomes Rosenland's most advanced region, home to countless philosophers, scientists, and mages, who revere the elven gods and mimic sage lives.
Year 8000 BIY:The greatest, and only, human bard to rival the planet-shifting Ancient Elven Star Singers emerges: Blind Homer of Gereka.
Year 7355 BIY:The famed beauty Daji appears in Zhendan, her true identity a powerful nine-tailed fox.

Year 7038 BIY:Prince Ramesses journeys to Sylvania, then known as Dacia. Hunting dragons with young chief Vlad, he is moved by Vlad's honor. A wounded Vlad is turned into a royal vampire. Ramesses adopts Vlad's tribal name—Dominax—as his family's name. Due to the dragon's influence, Vlad's hair turns purple.
Year 6777 BIY:Through the intrigues of House Estruch and the Zhao family, royal vampire Sargon Strigoi betrays King Ramesses. As he dies, Ramesses curses the entire Gossain clan, turning them forever into monstrous bat-like vampires, incapable of human form. Ramesses is the only vampire king before Sophia; after this, the king's contract is weakened to a mere symbol of inviolability, no longer allowing absolute command. Only the Markov family, who never joined the king's pact, are immune. The Estruch's true plot is to reforge Ramesses into the artifact Blood Scepter, which can control all vampires except the Markovs. The scepter vanishes after bloody struggles.
This event also makes Dominax and Gossain eternal mortal enemies. Vlad and Sophia will slaughter every Gossain vampire they meet.

He proclaims himself a god and names his court the Celestial Palace, but a trickster named "Great Sage Equal to Heaven" stages a riot in the palace, miraculously defeating him. After the Dragon Emperor's defeat, his successors fail to maintain unity, and the True Dynasty soon collapses.
Year 4890 BIY:A hundred years after the Dragon Emperor's death, Zhendan is divided by Dan and Wu-Yue. Dan conquers Wu-Yue's unmatched warlord, establishing the Dan Dynasty. Later, the area is referred to as "Zhendan"—a merger of the True and Dan dynasties.

IY 772:Sophia Dracula Sara von Dominax is born, the only child of Sara and Vlad—a miracle, since vampires, male or female, cannot normally reproduce. Sophia, the contradiction incarnate, is a fateful union of life and death. The world's vampires all hunt this prophesied threat. William Deathclaw, transferring his love for Sara to Sophia, leads his werewolf clan to protect her, always watching from the shadows.
Lyon, meanwhile, lingers in Sara's hometown, Carcassonne, haunted by memories, unaware Sophia is also born there. This year, Lyon unknowingly protects Sophia, slaying countless vampires who come to kill her.
