Chapter 15 - 15

Asher saw that everyone was looking at him and realized that woman was trying to use him. Saying even one more word would just give her an opening.

He stopped watching and carried his backpack back to his seat.

Everyone finally let out a breath of relief. Cold King Yan acting like that meant he wouldn't get involved.

The principal also felt relieved. Just a moment ago, he had been confused, how could Cold King Yan have a woman?

"Honey, if you don't help me, they're going to kick me out of school.

Even though this school isn't great and everyone here is unreasonable, I still want to experience what it's like to attend college."

Avery saw that he was ignoring her, so she quickly stood up and walked over to him.

She pulled out the desk in front of him and sat down right on his lap without hesitation, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck.

"Get off me. Don't provoke me, woman. Or you'll regret it."

Asher couldn't stand her being so close and tried to push her away. His voice finally turned cold.

"Can I provoke you? That's perfect. I want to have your baby. A son or a daughter, either is fine.

But first, you need to help me deal with the principal and these people. They're ruining the mood."

When Avery felt him trying to push her off, she grabbed his hands right away.

Asher didn't want to play these games with her anymore. Just as he was about to use force,

something suddenly pricked the nerve point on his arm, and he suddenly couldn't exert any strength.

His body shifted slightly back, and he looked more carefully at this woman.

He didn't expect her to be even more capable than he thought.

"How did it feel to kill someone? As long as you help me get through this and keep my student status, I'll owe you a favor."

Avery knew he was about to fight back, so she used an ice needle to stab a pressure point on his hand.

She quickly buried her head into Asher's neck and whispered quietly.

Threatening him wouldn't work, so she had to talk sweetly instead.

But she also needed to remind him that she knew he had killed someone, so she had some leverage in the conversation.

Asher moved his hands a bit. He could use strength again. It seemed this woman knew her limits.

Helping her once wasn't a big deal. Besides, she had skills. Having her owe him a favor might be useful someday.

More importantly, if he didn't agree now, she'd keep bothering him.

And even if he wanted to kill her now, he probably couldn't.

From the moment they entered the classroom, they had already exchanged a few moves.

Even if he hadn't lost to her, he definitely hadn't won either. Letting her owe him was the best outcome.

"Principal, this school really needs to work on its discipline.

It's already almost 8:40. Wasting a class period means you're taking parents' money for nothing.

Also, don't just let anyone into the school. If something happens to a student here, the school will be held responsible."

After deciding, Asher looked at the principal and spoke in a flat voice.

"You're right, Mr. Asher. Class will begin immediately."

The principal heard him speak and didn't dare say anything else.

He just waved his hand and had everyone who didn't belong in the classroom leave.

Asher's family had been a prestigious clan for hundreds of years, with wealth rivaling nations.

Whether in politics or the military, they had powerful members, and their voice carried weight everywhere.

Asher was a direct descendant of that family. Even though his father had died, he still had a chance to inherit leadership of the Asher family.

Because the current head of the Shangguan family was his biological grandfather, and rumors said the old man really liked this grandson.

Dong's father was just about to speak when he heard the principal call him "Young Master Asher," and he immediately shut his mouth.

Even though their family had some money, compared to the Shangguan family, the difference was like an ant and an elephant. Even a fool would know who to side with.

So, he only looked at his daughter, then left with his people.

Everyone in the class immediately sat properly. No one dared to even glance at the Cold-faced Asher.

They didn't dare ask him anything either. Even if they were curious about his relationship with Avery, they had to keep it to themselves.

"Wow, my husband is so cool and powerful. I like it."

Avery saw the classroom return to normal and quickly gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Don't push your luck. If you dare sit on my lap again, I'll throw you out from here.

I really want to see if you'll still be in one piece then."

Asher quickly pushed her off him. If it had been an ordinary person, they would've fallen flat on their face.

Of course, someone who could sit on his lap wouldn't be ordinary.

Avery had already been using her mental power to watch his every move.

When he pushed her, Avery also used her hands to hold on tight.

Since her arms were around Asher's neck, she couldn't use her hips to support herself.

She could only rely on her arms to lift herself up to avoid falling to the ground.

And this way, she could also stand up smoothly, saving her from losing face.

"Hehe, you're my man. Sitting on your lap is totally normal. I hope I can do it every day, hehe."

After standing up, Avery tried to touch his face again.

That face was truly handsome. Every part of it was just her type.

She also liked his cold and distant personality. Only someone like him could survive in the apocalypse.

She couldn't help but look forward to the future. If they had a child one day, would it be a little devil?

Right now, she really wanted to play poker with him. After living for decades, she still hadn't experienced that kind of feeling.

"You must be some kind of female pervert. Want me to find you a few men?

Don't worry, even if you play them to death, it's fine. Just don't come bothering me again."

Asher slapped her hand away. Even though this woman ghost was kind of interesting, she kept teasing him, which was really annoying.

But he was curious how this ghost managed to take over Avery's body. How did she do that?

"No, other men aren't fun. I only want you."

After saying that, Avery pushed the boy next to her. He had no sense at all. Couldn't he see she was trying to flirt with a handsome guy?

He didn't even offer her his seat. People like that really deserved a beating.

"Avery, I didn't do anything to you. Please don't hit me."

The boy she pushed almost fell over. He stood up and was about to yell at her.

But when he saw Asher standing nearby, he swallowed his words.

"I want to sit next to my dear husband. You got a problem with that?"

Avery moved the boy's chair over with her foot. In the apocalypse, you should never let an enemy leave your sight.

They could attack you at any time, and you had to be ready to kill them at any moment.

So, when she wanted the chair, she didn't even bend down to pick it up. She just gently dragged it over with her leg.
