Chapter 165: Where Do You Want to Go, Everyone?
Xue Di didn't say a word and struck forward with her sword.
The pure white blade slammed into the true form of the Golden Holy Dragon, soul power clashing in a tremendous explosion that surged like a tidal wave.
The surrounding forest vanished instantly, erased by the terrifying shockwave from their battle.
Wang Yan and the others rushed to escape faster. The cataclysmic scene behind them made them wish they had more legs to flee with.

One held a staff, a dazzling light flickering atop it.
The other with a scorpion's luminous and beautiful tail swaying in the sunlight.
At the sight of the newcomers, the Shrek group's hearts, which had just begun to relax, sank instantly.
"Ling Shuang and the woman who's always with him!"
Wang Yan blurted out.
Ling Shuang walked forward slowly, lifting his eyelids slightly. His voice was cold: "Where do you think you're going?"
He had long anticipated that after Elder Zi's death, Mu En might personally show up to protect the Shrek party. So, he had waited here with Bing Di.
Although Mu En couldn't defeat Xue Di, as they were both Ultimate Douluo, stalling him for a time was possible.
With that in mind, Ling Shuang had already resolved to block every route of retreat for the Shrek group!

The rest aside from Huo Yuhao whether they lived or died didn't matter to him.
Although Ma Xiaotao didn't know what had changed Ling Shuang so drastically, she believed he had his reasons and wouldn't act so mercilessly without cause.
"Okay." She responded softly and stepped out of the group.
Seeing this, the others immediately realized that Ma Xiaotao and Ling Shuang shared a special bond and it was like a drowning man catching hold of a life-saving straw.
"Xiaotao, please help us reason with Ling Shuang. If there's any issue, we can talk it through. There's no need to go to such extremes." Wang Yan resumed his teacherly tone.
"We're all students of the same academy. You can't really be this ruthless, can you?"
He had already begun trying to morally guilt Ma Xiaotao.
Ma Xiaotao paused.
After a moment's hesitation, she still turned to Ling Shuang and asked, "Brother Xiao Shuang, what do you plan to do with them?"
Wang Yan's words didn't sway her. That kind of moral pressure had no effect.
But a few of those people had some level of connection to her.
Those in the inner courtyard, for instance.
Though Ma Xiaotao's personality kept her from being close with most of them, having studied together for so long meant some emotional bonds remained.
Even Ling Luochen whom she disliked the most was someone Ma Xiaotao didn't really want to see hurt.
As for those from the outer courtyard, Ma Xiaotao didn't care.
Whether they lived or died had nothing to do with her.
Sensing what Ma Xiaotao was thinking, Ling Shuang walked up to her and offered a reassuring smile: "Don't worry, Sister Xiaotao. I don't intend to kill them all."
He then turned to the Shrek group and spoke coldly: "Except Huo Yuhao, the rest of you may leave."
"If anyone insists on fighting me…"
"Kill without mercy!"
Ling Shuang's icy words dropped, and Ling Luochen stepped forward first.
She wasn't the self-sacrificing type, though she still valued life.
Ling Luochen wouldn't throw her life away for Huo Yuhao, who had nothing to do with her.
