The automatic doors of the Hunter Association's headquarters slid open with a hiss, and Leo stepped in with a sigh.
"I still don't get why we have to do this again. We already submitted two reports. What, are they just trying to squeeze free labor out of us now?"
He muttered, glaring at the front desk like it had personally wronged him.
"This is what we signed up for. You can't complain every time responsibility knocks."
Luna replied coolly, walking beside him.
"I can, and I will."
Leo shot back.
Siegfried, striding ahead of them in his usual polished calm, didn't turn around.
"You two can bicker later. Let's just get this over with."
They crossed the marble lobby, the polished floors reflecting the bright artificial lights from above.
Other hunters passed by them with practiced ease, but Leo barely paid attention until he spotted two familiar figures near the briefing corridor—Julie, the oracle, and Hwan, who looked even more annoyed to be present than Leo himself.
