"Oi, you're drooling on your certificate."
Those were the first words I heard in this 'new' life. I blinked, confused, face-down on my own lap with a rolled diploma clutched in my right hand. The blurry shape in front of me resolved into my best friend, Jun, looking equally amused and concerned.
"You're not seriously crying over graduating, right? You're not that sentimental."
"No, I… just had a weird dream."
Calling it weird is just an understatement.
Get fired from a job.
Being jobless.
Failed job hunt.
Scam job offers and…
Stab in the gut.
I instinctively touched my abdomen. No wounds.
Was it a vision? A warning?
Or was my brain finally breaking?
My phone's screen read:
March 15. 2021
My graduation day.
Everything ahead of this date had already happened… or hadn't yet.
That means I still have time.
Time to not screw everything up.
