Titan's merciless sarcasm caused Tang Wei's face to shift between pale and flushed.
Even though he had anticipated a cold reception, facing him directly still infuriated Tang Wei.
He was the Grand Elder of the Haotian Sect, a level 99 Limit Douluo, one of the most powerful figures even on the entire Douluo Continent.
Yet, he had always lacked prestige within the Haotian Sect, constantly being ordered around by the two Grand Masters, Niu Tian and Titan.
Why were Tang Wei and the others so eager to escape Niu Tian and Titan?
"Isn't it because these two guys never take them seriously, treating them like servants?"
Tang Wei, with his pride, wanted to turn around and leave.
However, thinking of the impending predicament of the Haotian Empire and the unknown schemes of Mu En and Ye Xishui, no matter how angry he was, Tang Wei forced himself to endure it.
After taking a deep breath, Tang Wei looked at Niu Tian and Titan expressionlessly and said,
"Mu En and Ye Xishui have something to discuss with you. I've only come back to bring them to see you."

"We've already abandoned the Star Luo Empire. The Shrek Academy and the Holy Spirit Cult's experts have joined forces with the Haotian Empire, preparing to jointly confront the Sun Moon Empire's attack."
They've already given up?
Niu Tian and Titan exchanged a glance, both surprised by Mu En's answer.
Logically, with the Golden Ancient Tree, Shrek Academy shouldn't have been reduced to abandoning everything and running away.
Could it be that Gu Yuena intervened?

Hearing the name Golden Ancient Tree again, Mu En's expression became even more grim.

Although the Haotian Empire was their ally, these individuals had previously been unwilling to wage war against the Sun Moon Empire, and the intelligence they had gathered was already outdated.
Now that things had come to this, Mu En decided not to hide anything and directly recounted everything that had happened at Shrek Academy recently.
However, to his surprise, when Niu Tian and Titan heard the news of the Golden Tree's theft, their expressions changed drastically, and cold sweat poured from their foreheads.
Mu En felt a flash before his eyes, and Titan appeared directly in front of him, grabbing his collar and shouting,
"Mu En, is what you're saying true? The Golden Tree, the Golden Tree, really was taken away by someone else?"
Mu En could clearly see the fear and panic filling the eyes of the Haotian Sect's Second Master.
It was as if the theft of the Golden Tree was a bolt from the blue for him.
Moon didn't answer immediately. Instead, he looked past Titan at Niu Tian behind him, wanting to know how Niu Tian would react.
What he saw was also Niu Tian, his face filled with bewilderment.
Their reactions confirmed Moon's suspicions:
they must have some unknown connection to the Golden Tree.
That Golden Tree, like the justice Shrek Academy had always proclaimed, was probably all a lie!
The will emanating from the Golden Tree wasn't from the so-called ancestors of Shrek Academy, but a conspiracy deliberately orchestrated.
But who was it?
Who would have been plotting against Shrek Academy for thousands of years,
causing generations of Shrek Academy's powerful members to offer their souls to the Golden Tree after death?
Moon couldn't understand this, but he felt Niu Tian and Titan must know, so he looked at them and said in a low voice.
"Of course it's true! How could I joke about something as important as the Golden Tree to Shrek Academy?"
"While we were engaged in a fierce battle with the Holy Spirit Cult and the Sun Moon Empire, our rear was attacked by someone, and the Golden Tree vanished without a trace!"
