Chapter 1 - 1. Welcome to the 'True omega's system'!

AT ONE LATE AFTERNOON

XAVIER'S POINT OF VIEW:

I am Xavier Blackstone, I am twenty years old, and I've never had a girlfriend. Yeah, sure, there's been the usual crushes, the occasional flirty banter, but nothing serious. Nothing that ever stuck. I'm just... not one of those guys who get caught up in relationships. Hell, I barely know how to talk to women. Most of my friends have had a million girlfriends by now, and here I am, single, scrolling through the endless list of VR games to waste time. At least I'm not alone in this. Right?

That's when my eyes land on it: 'True Omega's system'.

I had heard a few rumors about it. It's one of those new VR games where the stakes are high, the worlds are insane, and the narrative has a ridiculous twist. Something about being trapped in a virtual world where Omegas are the key to saving everything... or whatever. I'm not sure I completely get it, but I've got nothing to lose, right? I mean, I could use the distraction. Hell, I've been stuck on my couch too much as it is. Work's been a nightmare, and let's be real, there's not a lot going on in my real life to get excited about.

I hit "buy" without a second thought. What's the worst that could happen? I'm not exactly living the dream in the real world. Might as well see what this weird Omega stuff is about. Still, something about the game's description catches my eye. It talks about a world where being an Omega is a big deal. And when I read 'system,' I think... well, it's a game. But there's something about the way it's worded. Almost like it's too real. Whatever. I'll figure it out once I'm in. I could use a change of scenery.

I grab the VR headset, plug it in, and take a deep breath. Okay, Xavier. Time to escape this lame life for a while and dive into something... ridiculous. I settle back into the chair, adjusting the VR headset, my fingers nervously hovering over the controllers.

The screen flickers, then fades into nothingness. For a second, I feel that odd sensation, like I'm being pulled into a void. I blink a few times, the world comes into focus. It's nothing like the drab, boring room I left behind. I'm standing on a cliff overlooking a sprawling, luminous city. The air smells different, like fresh rain mixed with the sweetness of wildflowers. The sky above is a strange shade of violet, the stars glistening like diamonds, and a massive moon hangs low, casting an ethereal glow over everything.

"Welcome, Xavier."A voice said.

My heart skips a beat at the voice smooth, melodic, almost like the moon itself was speaking. I turn, eyes wide, and there, floating in the air, is a figure that takes my breath away. She's dressed in flowing silver robes that shimmer like stardust, her long hair cascading down in waves of light. Her skin is pale, glowing faintly under the moon's radiance, and her eyes... Her eyes are like twin moons, luminous and endless, filled with ancient knowledge and an almost teasing warmth.

"You... you're the one?" I manage, still not entirely sure if I'm dreaming or actually inside this game.

"I am." She said, her voice a soft, lilting melody that feels both comforting and impossibly distant. "I am Selene, the Goddess of the Moon, and the creator of 'True Omega's System.'"

I take a shaky step forward.

"Wait. The game is real? I mean, I thought this was just some some escape or something. I didn't expect... well, you." I gesture vaguely to her, feeling ridiculously out of my depth.

Selene smiles softly, a knowing glint in her eyes.

"Ah, yes. The truth has a way of catching the unprepared off guard. But fear not, Xavier. You are not here by accident." Her smile widens, just a little, as if she's in on some private joke. "You've been chosen. The system has deemed you worthy to participate in this world... and to reshape it."

"Wait, chosen? For what?"I asked.

She floats closer, her presence almost overwhelming.

"This world is dying. The Omegas those like you are the key to saving it. But there's a catch, of course." Her voice dips into a more playful tone, her eyes twinkling. "You are... quite different from the others. While most would be eager to fulfill their role as a 'breeding partner' to save this world, your path will be far more complex." She glances around, as if the very air around us is filled with unseen mysteries. "You see, you are the first of your kind. A straight Omega." She says it like it's a riddle wrapped in a secret.

"Straight?" I repeat, confusion turning into panic. "But I—no, that doesn't make sense! I'm not—"

"Ah, yes, I know. You are not like them." Her voice softens, almost teasing, as she steps closer, the moonlight glinting off her robes. "But that is the beauty of it. You will be given choices, Xavier. You may choose your path: embrace the roles of an Omega in this world, or fight against it. Harem or heartbreak? It's your choice. But know this every decision you make will have consequences. And the system will guide you, or, perhaps, test you... until the end."

I swallow hard, my heart racing. This is way beyond anything I signed up for. But there's no turning back now.

"Are you ready to play?" Selene asks, her voice calm but filled with an air of finality.

I stare at her, uncertainty swirling inside me. Ready? Hell, I'm not even sure what the hell is happening, but I don't have much of a choice, do I?

"Yeah." I say, my voice steadier than I feel. "I'm ready."

With a soft smile, Selene nods.

"Then let the game begin, Xavier. The omega's system awaits you."She said.

And just like that, everything shifts. The world around me seems to pulse with energy, and I'm thrown headfirst into the unknown.
