The pile of ooze didn't waste any time when attacking these monsters.
The only thing that the pile of ooze was acting on was instinct, so it just effectively swallowed all of the monsters that had tried to attack it.
Once the monsters were enveloped in the ooze, the only thing that they could do was try and struggle in vain to break free from the grasp of the ooze. But no matter how they struggled, they just weren't able to shake off the tentacles that the pile of ooze created.
These tentacles were made of the ooze and were actually quite easy to cut through.
The problem was that there were just too many tentacles for them to cut through them all.
It was as if there were ten more tentacles that appeared for each one that the monsters cut.
So in the end, they were completely enveloped in these tentacles and pulled into the pile of ooze.
