2024. EY(Earth year), Valon
On Valon, a planet whose life conditions were similar to those of Earth, at the edge of the Milky way in a old library made completely out of wood with no windows sits a brown haired, slim looking man aged around 20. His empty gaze staring into a schoolbook about an ancient war between Intergalactic government and "The Dark One".
On the open page is written: "The war was waged for hundreds of years between two sides, with neither getting the upper hand till the decisive Battle of Rien where "The Dark One" was finally killed. The Intergalactic government also suffered heavy casualties, costing them half of their elite force and 3 out of 7 "Commanders" during that time"
The man rises up from his chair after a long time, night already falling. He looks at the book again, and after a brief pause, he leaves.
After a short walk he gets to his ship, small intergalactic cruiser capable of transporting 5 people along with rations. All hallways were empty, 2 bathrooms equipped only with essentials and all other sleeping quarters were just used as storage for his rations.
His room, first one on the right, right next to the cockpit had minimal furniture- a desk, chair, bed, carpet, bookshelves with books-all about the war.
On the far side of the room, next to the window was a sword stand, on it was a katana in its black sheath, with beautiful blue, red and purple streaks intertwined to make a beautiful but unsettling display, with the handle made the same way.
He took off his clothes, threw them on the chair and laid down. He was tired-spending years searching for revenge. In his dreams, or nightmares, he couldn't tell the difference, he often remembered events from his past, and his father. Even he himself knew little about him, he was young when his father went to war, but he did know one thing-his father died in Rien, and he knew exactly who killed him.
Commander Light was the strongest person he ever heard of in the universe. He knew little about him, but he knew he was at Rien, and that he had a hand in his father's death. He knew all this because he read it in all the books he has in his ship, all stolen from classified Military compounds. He swore vengeance on the Military and has been hunting them down for hundreds of years.
Yes, like Commanders he had powers, unnatural abilities making them hundreds or thousands of times stronger than normal beings and giving them special abilities, each tied to their swords. Those abilities also increased their life span, but he did not know the limits of it. His appearance had been stuck at around 20 for centuries.
He knew his power had something to do with dimensions, as it was etched into his katana "次元"-"dimension". That was the name of his sword, Jigen. He was not able to use the abilities fully, but knew some, due to the sword helping him learn. His sword was alive, had its own consciousness, as far as he knew Jigen was the only sword capable of this.
