"Tell me the truth, girl!" Cassandra snarled, stepping close behind Victoria. In her hand, the knife gleamed; she pressed it gently against Victoria's throat, a dangerous smile on her face. "Did you set this up?"
"Are you certain about what you're saying?" Cassandra scoffed, arching a brow as she pushed her chair back with deliberate force. A mocking smile tugged at her lips. "So this is the precious new daughter welcomed into the Ashford family? Hah! It turns out she's nothing but a whore." Her words were sharp, her tone laced with venom. "But… I must admit, I'm curious. I'd very much like to see who she's daring to spread her legs for in broad daylight."
Without waiting for a response, Cassandra swept away from the table, her heels clicking sharply against the marble floor as she stormed toward the exit.
"Cassandra wait!" The Ashford brothers called after her, as they all rushed out of the living room too.
