'A Demon Lord? Here? Now? Don't tell me they're planning to Invade Legostream so soon' Arthur's mind raced, his fists clenching as he tried To suppress the dread creeping into his chest.
Tadesse's voice was calm, almost conversational. "Oh, do not Fear. I'm here on business. You see, I'm looking for a human boy—dark hair, Eyes embedded with a yin and yang symbol, carrying a black rock. Have you seen Anyone matching that description?"
The gang exchanged quick, nervous glances before shaking Their heads. None of them dared to speak.
Tadesse sighed, disappointed but unbothered. "Ah, I see. Then it seems I've come here for nothing. I suppose I'll be on my way."
He turned and began walking away, his steps eerily silent Despite his imposing figure.
The group watched in disbelief, struggling to process what Had just occurred. A Demon Lord—one of the most powerful beings in
Existence—had simply left without a fight.
Hana broke the silence, her voice tinged with a mix of awe And unease. "Tell me, Arthur... what power level does it take to face a Demon Lord?"
Arthur swallowed hard, his voice low. "100… and I'm only at 80."
Hana let out a strained laugh. "So you're telling me… if We'd fought him, we'd all be dead? It's crazy to say, but this feels like
Divine intervention."
As Tadesse continued walking, the crushing weight of his Mana began to lift. Maxwell exhaled shakily, his chest finally feeling less
Constricted. But just as the group began to relax, Tadesse halted mid-step.
"Oh," he said casually, turning his head slightly. "I nearly Forgot… you killed my soldiers. I can't let that slide. It's nothing personal."
Before they could react, Tadesse disappeared in a blur, Reappearing in front of Fay. His hand clamped around her face with inhuman Speed and force, and with a single motion, he slammed her through a nearby
Tree.
The sound of splintering wood echoed through the forest as Fay's body crumpled to the ground, unconscious. Blood seeped from the corners Of her lips, her armor cracked from the impact.
Tadesse's crimson eyes lingered on her limp form. "Elf Youngling," he said coldly, "you are the greatest threat among these mortals.
You shall die first."
Raising his clawed hand, he aimed to strike, his intent Lethal. But as his gaze swept over her body, he paused, his attention caught by
The intricate markings on her technological armour beneath her clothes.
"What is this contraption? These markings... I recognize Them. This is meant to suppress—" Tadesse's words were cut short as he noticed Hana below, her katana poised to strike.
With fluid grace, he leaped out of the way, dropping Fay Unceremoniously to the snow.
"You're fast… for a mortal," he said, his tone dripping with Condescension.
"You haven't seen anything yet," Hana retorted, launching a Flurry of strikes. Her blade danced in the air, but Tadesse was impossibly Quick, dodging each attack with infuriating ease.
"TADESSE!" Arthur's voice boomed across the battlefield, Drawing the demon lord's attention.
"How dare you! Do you think that lowly elf is more of a Threat than I am?" Arthur sneered, insulted.
Tadesse grinned wickedly. "Fine. If you're so eager to die, You can be first."
He lunged at Arthur, claws aimed to pierce his chest. But Arthur reacted swiftly, hurling his sword, Excalibur, directly at the demon
Lord.
"Catch," Arthur said, his voice calm.
Instinctively, Tadesse caught the blade, pausing briefly as He studied it, confused by Arthur's apparent foolishness. "What's this?
Throwing away your weapon in desperation?"
But before he could mock further, the weight of Excalibur Intensified. His arm trembled, and in seconds, the legendary blade pinned his Hand to the ground, its weight crushing his bones and immobilizing him.
Arthur smirked triumphantly. "Didn't you know? No one can Wield Excalibur but Arthur Pendragon."
Before Tadesse could respond, Hana appeared behind him, her Katana gleaming as she aimed to sever his head in one clean strike.
The blade connected—but instead of slicing through, it Shattered against Tadesse's neck like glass against stone.
"What?" Hana gasped in disbelief.
Tadesse turned to her with a wicked grin. "You thought that Would work on me?"
His left hand shot out, delivering a devastating backhand Blow. The sheer force of the strike sent Hana flying, the impact creating a Shockwave that cleared the snow in the immediate area. She crashed into a
Distant mountainside, her body limp as she fell unconscious.
Arthur's eyes burned with fury. "You'll pay for that!" he Roared, charging at Tadesse with blinding speed. His fist collided with the
Demon lord's face, the sheer force ripping Tadesse's body from his pinned right
Hand and sending him sprawling.
Arthur caught his breath, his confidence rising. "Now you're Missing a hand. Let's see how you fight without it."
But his victory was short-lived. Before his eyes, Tadesse's Severed arm regenerated, the flesh knitting itself together as though nothing Had happened.
"Not bad," Tadesse admitted, rolling his newly formed Fingers. "But you'll need more than that to defeat me. Now, let's finish this."
Arthur gripped Excalibur tightly, his determination Unwavering. "I'm not dying here. You know why? Because I'm going to kill the Demon king."
The two clashed, Tadesse's speed and agility keeping him Ahead at first. But as the battle progressed, he noticed something unsettling: Arthur was adapting, his movements growing faster, sharper.
Tadesse created distance between them, sneering as he saw Arthur still about to swing his sword. "What do you hope to achieve swinging That sword from so far away? It's pointless."
Arthur said nothing, his focus unshaken. With a mighty Swing, he brought Excalibur down.
The air itself seemed to split as the blade's power surged Forward, tearing through the ground and the mountain behind Tadesse. The demon Lord's body was vertically bisected in an instant, his sliced body collapsing To the snow as blood pooled beneath him.
Arthur exhaled, his body trembling with exertion. He turned His back on the fallen foe, a triumphant smile forming.
But just as he began to celebrate, a sharp, searing pain Erupted in his chest. He looked down, his eyes widening in shock as a clawed Hand pierced through him from behind.
Tadesse stood there, fully healed, his crimson eyes glowing Brighter than ever.
"I underestimated you, human," Tadesse sneered, standing Over the bloodied Arthur. "You truly are dangerous. However, you attacked a foe Without understanding his magical specialty... regeneration. No attack in this Realm can put me down for good."
Arthur collapsed to the ground, his body broken and Bleeding, Excalibur slipping from his grasp. Defeat hung heavy in the air as
Tadesse turned his attention to Hana and Fay, ready to finish them off.
But before he could make his move, a fireball struck him Square in the face. It fizzled harmlessly against his skin.
Tadesse turned to see Maxwell standing shakily, his staff Raised. Moments ago, Maxwell had been struggling to breathe under the Oppressive weight of Tadesse's mana. But now, the sight of his fallen friends
Had ignited something within him—a resolve he didn't know he possessed.
"Oh, so there's a fourth member," Tadesse said with mocking Amusement. "I almost didn't notice you. Your mana is so pitiful, you must be a Level one."
With a casual backhand, Tadesse sent Maxwell hurtling Through a line of trees.
Yet, to Tadesse's surprise, Maxwell staggered back to his Feet, bruised and battered but unyielding. His deadpan expression and Unwavering gaze unsettled the demon lord.
"What...?" Tadesse muttered, his confidence wavering. "He's Just a level one adventurer. How is he still moving? No... how is he still
Alive after that hit?"
In Maxwell's mind, a mechanical like voice echoed: "ODDS REQUIREMENT MET. PLOT ARMOR ACTIVATED."
Maxwell ignored the voice, his focus locked on Tadesse. He Grabbed a splintered tree branch, driving it into his left arm, blood pooling From the self-inflicted wound.
He raised his staff, his voice steady as he chanted, "Forbidden Arts, Number 49. I offer this sacrifice... my blood and my lifespan.
Void."
Tadesse's eyes widened in disbelief. "Wait... I know this Magic. That's ancient, sacrificial magic. How could a young human like you
Possibly—" He stopped mid-sentence, then smirked. "It doesn't matter. You're Wasting your time. That spell requires a sacrifice of at least 500 years of Your lifespan. You'll burn yourself out before it even works."
But his laughter faltered when he noticed a black void Forming in his abdomen. The void expanded, twisting and distorting space around It, its pull irresistible.
"What is this?!" Tadesse's voice rose in panic as his body Began to warp and fragment, drawn into the void.
Maxwell stepped forward, blood dripping from his arm, his Voice calm and resolute. "I heard you're good at regenerating. Try coming back From a void that tears you apart on a molecular level."
Tadesse struggled, clawing at the ground, his form unravelling As he was sucked into the abyss. "THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE! YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A LEVEL ONE!!"
His final scream echoed as his body was consumed, leaving Nothing behind. The void collapsed in on itself, vanishing without a trace.
