Chapter 1 - Awakening at Birth

On Earth, a manga reader flips through the pages of a story, feeling disappointment. He huffs, tossing the book aside, and steps outside, searching for peace. But nature has other plans—a thunderstorm rolls in. As lightning cracks, he sprints home, the rain drenching him.

Then, in an instant, a bolt of lightning strikes him. He dies in a flash.

Darkness surrounds him. Time drags on—five, six months of pure torment. Then, at last, he opens his eyes. But something is wrong. He is not in his own body. He is trapped, curled in warmth, confined inside something… someone's stomach.

A terrifying thought dawns on him: He has been reborn as a baby.

His mind races. "I must be on Earth," he thinks. "But… what if I'm not?" He listens carefully, absorbing conversations from the outside world, discovering shocking truths:

1. This is not Earth.

2. Monsters roam the planet at night.

3. Kings rule over the land.

4. Nightwatchers patrol the streets, killing monsters and protecting cities.

5. Awakeners possess slumbering powers that must be unlocked.

And more than anything—he is born into the most powerful Awakeners family.

His mother is a renowned strategist. His father is the leader of the strongest Nightwatcher squad.

He realizes he must wait—not only to be born but also to awaken his powers. "I need to become strong," he tells himself. But how does one awaken?

He closes his eyes, finding calmness in meditation within his mother's womb. Time passes. Then—suddenly, a strange sensation courses through him, like a shock of electricity. The same sensation as when he died.

His body tingles with realization. _Have I already awakened?_

He had heard that those who awaken receive weapons—swords, staffs, mystical tools. But he cannot see it yet. _When I come out, I will find my weapon,_ he resolves.

One month later, the moment arrives. He is born.

Fresh air fills his lungs. He can move—his fingers, his legs. He is free.

Then—a blinding pain erupts in his head. A searing force presses against his skull.

His mother gasps in awe.

"Oh… my son awakened at the very moment of birth."

A sword emerges from his forehead.

His journey has begun.
