There were actually quite a few techniques I wanted to learn from the old, perverted Turtle Hermit. The Sleepy Boy technique and Thunder Shock Surprise were two of the top contenders.

Hypnosis would be a great way to deal with beaten enemies and keep them down for a while. But more importantly, I wanted to see if I could combine the Thunder Shock Surprise with the Kamehameha Wave and Kamehameha X10. From Jordan's memories, I know that Gohan has his own version of the Kamehameha called the Electric Kamehameha, but unlike what I'm intending, Gohan's seemed to be just a version that used the excess energy of his Super Saiyan aura to further power up a Kamehameha Wave. That, and it was a golden yellow in color as well.

But if I could create a literal Electric Kamehameha X10? A Kamehameha infused with the literal element of lightning... I'd have a top-tier killer move.

The Kamehameha X10 would be insanely powerful to be hit with on its own, but having lightning course through your veins as a secondary effect from being hit by it?

I know using elements with ki isn't impossible. A basic ability for a Saiyan upon becoming an Oozaru is the ability to breathe fire.

Note to self: remember how to breathe fire once I master the Oozaru form, and then combine it with the Thunder Shock Surprise. Lightning Flame Oozaru Roar, here I come!

"Even more importantly though..." I grinned as I sped through the air towards where I could sense Master Roshi's power.

Pump Up. The technique that basically let Master Roshi buff himself up and give himself a one and a half times multiplier on his power. I'm fairly certain that it's the same technique used by Frieza, and later down the line by Vegeta, Goku, and Trunks, to create Super Saiyan Grade Two. If I can master that form and take it even further, I'm sure I'll be able to get some insight into Super Saiyan Two itself. I know from the memories I inherited that upon first transforming, Gohan himself buffed up a little bit, but not nearly as much as the others did in Super Saiyan Grade Two. I've got a hunch that the form is triggered by rapid compression of the energy used to bulk up for Super Saiyan Grade Two.

If Ichigo Kurosaki is anything to go by—compressing your energy always makes you stronger.

Maybe I should make a Cero ki blast? Or even a Getsuga Tenshou version too. That'd be awesome. But how can I generate black ki and mix it in for that epic color scheme? Jordan always loved the Cero's from Bleach, even though it's basically just a finely compressed beam of power. What I have in mind for it is basically a two-fingered version of the Death Beam—not quite as fast as the Death Beam, but more powerful and covering a wider range.

Aside from those, there are a ton of techniques I need and want to learn. The Multi-Form technique, for one, will make life so much easier for me if I can split into multiple people at once and tackle multiple problems. Honestly, besides the main techniques from Roshi, this is the technique I most want just for the sheer convenience it will net me. On top of that, I want the Four Witches technique as well—the amount of help an extra set of growable arms will give me in future fights can't be underestimated. In canon, Goku and the rest got their hands caught up in so many grapples and ki beam struggles that it isn't even funny. Like, if Gohan had that technique against Cell, that final Kamehameha clash at the end would have been laughably easy for him.

Also, another note to self: once I learn the Four Witches technique, make a four-handed version of the Kamehameha. With another set of hands, I can probably compress enough ki into the Kamehameha X10 to double the power again, maybe. At the very least, the beam will be much more massive in size without losing power.

To my surprise, Roshi was already standing out on his lawn waiting for me when I closed in on the island. "He must have felt me coming," I mused, dispersing my aura around myself and dropping lightly to the island below.

"It's quite extraordinary," Roshi remarked as soon as I landed in front of him. "You look exactly like him at that age. Even your ki feels disturbingly similar. I actually thought Goku had been wished back when I first felt your energy a week ago." His hands were clasped behind his back, and even through his sunglasses—who wears sunglasses at night?—I could feel quite an intense gaze on my body and even my ki. I could practically feel him prodding at my ki with his own.

Looks like I'm dealing with the actual Master Roshi right now, not Pervert Roshi.

Sometimes, it was hard to remember that this man, despite how much of a fool he played, is over three hundred years old and is quite possibly the most celebrated martial arts master seen in the entire Dragon Ball franchise—besides the likes of Whis. He has so many techniques it's unreal, and even though it's a total ass-pull, he managed to become relevant in the Tournament of Power despite how weak his base power was to start with in preparation. Roshi has a base power of 139, and he didn't train at all until just slightly before the tournament. Krillin, Tien, and the like being relevant were ass-pulls in themselves, but at the very least, Krillin—being low-balled—should have had a battle power of around five hundred thousand. Tien, since he kept training constantly, was probably between the five and ten million range. So, while they wouldn't ever be matches for the top contenders of the team, it is nowhere near hard enough to think they could stand up to the weaker fighters of the other universal teams, because they could still have beaten Namek Saga first-form Frieza, who basically ruled the universe at one point.

Jumping from 139 to being relevant is pretty insane, though. Especially since he did better than both Krillin and Tien and even took on freaking Frost to my knowledge. Hell, I'm still fully sorting through all the knowledge of canon and different universes that I got from Jordan's memories, but I also distinctly remember Roshi taking on freaking Jiren in the manga. And Jiren was smacking around Goku, who had the equivalent of Super Saiyan Blue 2 in that universe, or at least Super Saiyan Blue Grade 4.

A Super Saiyan by any other name... is still a Super Saiyan form. I don't know why the naming of the forms got so stupid after Beerus showed up, but then everyone, in general, for the most part came off as stupid. Seriously, Jiren, grow up, you freaking chuuni bastard.

"Everyone's like a broken record. You've all just basically said the same thing to me the moment we met," I rolled my eyes. Yes, I know it's natural for them to be stupefied by me being a clone of their precious Goku, and them being quite in awe of me is expected since, in my humble opinion, I'm rather awesome. But it's getting old fast. The only one so far who hasn't made a big deal about it is Piccolo. And, well, he's freaking Piccolo. "I'm here for a reason."

"I expected as much when I felt you coming here specifically," Roshi replied. "You can't have the Dragon Balls." He continued flatly. Huh, I actually forgot they were here.

Wow, a hard denial of something I really wasn't here for in the first place. Though thinking about it, it's not like Goku will actually be needed for the Saiyan Saga. Even if I just continued training as I am right now and made similar gains for a year as I had in this week alone since I started training. From my last check on the scouter, I've gained 582 in battle power since I started training. That's an average of around 83 per day. In a full year—365 days—well, I'll subtract a week, so 358 days. If I gained an average of 83 battle power per day for 358 days, off the top of my head, that's... a bit above 29,000 or so battle power in total. Maybe closer to 30,000. I'd be far stronger than Vegeta, and that's not taking into account my plans of getting at least one Zenkai like I did with Tien with my remaining Senzu Bean and my plan to use the Ultra Divine Water.

Vegeta wouldn't stand a chance against me. And I'm planning on getting much bigger gains through gravity training. Goku got thousands a day on his trip to Namek in canon. I'm hoping for the same.

"I'm not here for them," I replied just as flatly, though I may have bared my teeth in annoyance. There's nobody that could really stop me from taking them, but I want them for a possible revival myself if I die taking the Ultra Divine Water. I'm fairly sure I'll survive it—the original did—and my body is way stronger than his, but there's always the chance. No matter how tempting it is to wish for a bunch of King Yemma's fruit or seeds from the Tree of Might.

I'll wait till I meet Porunga to wish for those. Then I'll hip thrust Frieza in the face.

Speaking of dragons, I need to check and see if the Black Star Dragon Balls are a thing in this universe. If they are, I need to figure out what to wish for with them and plan out in advance so I can get them before Earth goes kaboom. And maybe change my link from the normal Dragon Balls to the Black Star ones if possible. A Dragon Fist using Ultimate Shenron should be way more powerful than the normal variation.

"Ugh," I groaned in annoyance. So much to do!

"What is it?" Roshi asked me, his bushy eyebrows raising above his sunglasses.

"I've got so much to do before the other Saiyans get here! Seriously, it isn't even funny how much training I'm going to need to do, and not just for them! But to take care of their damned boss as well, who's like five hundred times stronger than me as I am right now!" More like twelve thousand. "I don't even want to do this crap, man! But I can't just risk it and leave it to freaking Goku either because that dumbass barely even beat Raditz, and that's with giving up his freaking life to do it—with help! And Raditz was only worth about ten of you! The guy I'm preparing for is worth like five thousand of you all compressed into a tiny, evil, wine-sipping, galactic tyrant!"

Haah. I released an explosive sigh. It's unfair. These guys don't need to worry about if their presence messed up the timeline or the fear of the overlooming threats on the horizon. Blissful ignorance at its finest. Even them just thinking Frieza is only at 530,000 battle power. And that's chump change compared to the levels of people who could pop up at any time. Who's to say Babidi won't find where Buu is faster in this world? Who's to say Cell isn't already back in this timeline? Who's to say this isn't a timeline where Towa and Mira are going to mess things up?

Without overwhelming power, I can't even begin to live my life because of the threats I worry about. How freaking unfair is that?

A comforting hand patting me gently on the shoulder drew me from my thoughts. "...I'm not even sure how to react to what you just told me, Kakarot," Roshi said. "But how about we get to why you came over here in the first place? I'll help you out in any way I can."

It's good that Roshi is a reliable master.
