My heart beat loudly in my ears. The air between us had become less tense now, but not calm either. Damon hadn't said a word since pulling me into his chest, and even though his arms were wrapped tightly around me, the ache between my legs hadn't faded.
I pressed my face against his neck, trying to ignore the heat crawling through me, but it was no use. My hips shifted slightly, seeking relief. A whimper escaped before I could stop it.
He stiffened.
I froze too, my face flushed that he'd heard me, that I couldn't hide how much I was still burning inside.
"Damon," I whispered, my voice shaky. "It won't stop…"
'I don't know where I got the boldness from, but I just needed to know that if he doesn't do something… I might actually die and be on my way to heaven… that is if I make it.'
