To avoid any confusion, I'm going to explain a few things about the format of this story.
Whenever a character speaks, I'll always write their name followed by a colon and then their dialogue inside quotation marks (""), for example :
Character : "I'm speaking, this is incredible"
If the character's name is not yet known, I'll simply use a question mark in place of their name.
To make the dialogues easier to follow when there are several unnamed characters speaking, I've decided to add a number after the question mark. This way, even without knowing their names, you can still tell them apart.
Warning! The numbers used to identify unknown characters only apply to the current chapter! So the character "?-1" in chapter 1 is not the same as "?-1" in another chapter!
If a character is thinking, it will be written the same way as when they speak, except without quotation marks :
Character : Nobody knows what I'm thinking
If a random background character speaks, there will only be quotation marks around their line, for example :
"I'm completely useless"
Finally, if a piece of text appears without a name in front of it and without quotation marks, then it means it's narration — in other words, it's me, the narrator, speaking. Just like I'm doing right now.
These rules may change later if needed, but I'll always explain any new ones. As for the chapter format, nothing is clearly set yet, I'll figure that out later. With that said, enjoy the read !
