I and my parents arrived at the girl's house. The girl, I mean my so called wife to be. I rolled my eyes at that statement.
I remember this street, it was the same street I got into fight with that silly girl. Well, the last thing I want to do now is to see her so I really have to get everything over with.
My mom knocked the door and a beautiful woman with gold hair opened the door for us. I'm guessing that's the girl's mother. She hugged my mom and exchange greetings with my dad.
She lead us to a dinning table filled with different types of dishes.
Seriously can we even finish this, what a waste of money for people like them. SMH
A man around my dad's age came to meet us and greeted us. The house was a little bit nice, at least in order.
She shouted to her daughter to come out before sitting beside my mom while her husband sat on the other side. And my dad said beside my mom while I sat beside my dad. The two chair beside me was empty and that will definitely be for the girl.
Honestly I'm not interested in this bullshit arranged marriage thing, I know I'm not stable in relationships but they should give me time to love a woman and marry.
How can they choose a bride for me at my age. Arranged marriage was in the 1960s not now.

"Jocelin you are going to love my daughter when you see her" She smiled talking to my mother.
" Well, I can't wait and I'm sure he will too" She said referring to me. I just rolled my eyes.
She knew I wasn't interested in this, she just forced me to and besides I can't disobey my father unless I'm ready to face the consequences.
They just kept talking about the girl, it's really pissing me off cos I'm right here starving all because of that girl, I wonder why she haven't come yet perhaps hiding her ugly face.
"Ummm Susan where is your daughter"
Exactly cos I'm starving.
"Kathy!" She yelled. Why can't she just go and call her instead of blocking our ears. Wait, what did she say Kathy?
"I'll go get her" She stood up and was about to go to the stairs when two girls came out of a room.
I was numb. Was I like this because I was surprised or because of her beauty.
My heart was breathing rapidly. She's beautiful. She wore a short gown with her hair falling right on her shoulders. She didn't apply much makeup but she was breathtaking. That is Kathy the girl I fought with and her friend.
My mother suddenly clapped in front of my face snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Take it easy Brian" She said smirking.
Why was I even drooling over her? The other day it was her now me, fantastic.
I looked at her again to see whether she put on the same expression on her face. But what I saw really shocked me.
She was sheepishly smiling at me like a teenage girl going to meet her date for a prom dance. She must be definitely planning something because according to what I've heard about her she is very dangerous and there's no way she can be smiling at me like that without a hidden agenda even after what I did.
I can't marry this woman, I won't.
'Are you scared'
Not that, why would I be scared of her? I just don't want to marry her and besides I had already made up my mind not to marry the girl regardless of who is she.
She walked towards me and sat beside me while her friend sat beside her.
I glance at her one more time trying to catch her red handed but instead she was still shyly stealing glances at me.
Perhaps she doesn't have any hiding agenda against me, she's just after my money. I thought to myself. Even I can't bring myself to accept that.
She's definitely hiding something for sure.
Her mother served us our dinner and we began to eat.
I couldn't stop the thought that she might do something to me under the table. I kept glancing at her smiling face while I eat my food. I looked at her one more time chewing my food before meeting the gaze of my mother.
Please don't say anything mom please...
"You don't have to keep stealing glances at her okay, as soon as you are done with dinner you two will have time to look at each other and talk" She smirk while Kathy kept smiling like a lunatic.
I hate women like this but I know for sure she's not a girl like this even if she want me for money. Good thing we have to talk alone, I'll get to know what all this drama is all about.
After some time we finished dinner while our parents kept smiling and talking to each other.
Hey, hello we are supposed to talk in private remember. I said to my mind holding back the words from coming out.
I glance at my mom hoping she will get the signal and thankfully she did.
"Brian and Kathy you two should have a word so you can get to know each other"
You mean so I can get to know her hiding agenda.
"Yea" I nodded.
"Come with me to my room" She said smiling at me before getting up.
Wait what if she has set a trap for me in her room?
'Are you seriously afraid of a common woman, have you really forgotten you are Brian Wilson' my inner voice said to me.
You are right I'm Brian Wilson I'm not scared of anyone.

"Let's go outside instead"

"She's right Brian, you two need some privacy"
Mom have you seen what she can do? Giving up I decided to follow her but be alert.
"And be careful Brian don't do anything stupid" She smirk, understanding what she meant. Well, you are wrong mom cos I can't do that with someone like her. I deal with cheap girls and as far as I know she's not one.
I followed her to the room and she shot the door behind me. I don't want to bit around the bush I just what to go straight to the point.
"Listen Kathy I know you are pretending so stop this nonsense right now and let's discuss how this marriage won't take place"
"What do you mean I like you" She smile shyly.
Oh my God.
"Look I know you okay so stop it, I know you don't want to marry me and neither do I"
"That's not true I want to marry you" She said shyly pissing me off internationally.
This woman is up to something.
"Fine but let me tell you something marrying me will be the worst mistake of your life"
"You mean the best cos I liked you since the day I saw you"
"Really? What's wrong with you are... " I pursed "Fine then" I said.
She went beside her bed and stared at me again.
"Come sit" She said smiling, tapping the bed.
Does she think I'm stupid, so she want me to sit with her so that she can do something to me right? Hell no I won't sit I rather leave here.
I looked at her confused face and hurriedly left the room.
My mom glance at me with a questioning look.
"She said she want to do something before coming down"
I have to come up with a lie.
Well, speak of the devil she same smiling widely than before. What's wrong with her?
"What happened Kathy you seem really happy"
"Nothing" She said shyly.
Oh, I understand what she's doing you know the type of look a girl has on her face when she's alone with a guy in the room making it look as if they did something.
"Oh I see" I guess they all understand cos they were smiling.
"Mr & Mrs Adams we'll be on our way now"
" Okay nice to have you here once again " Kathy's dad said
"It's our pleasure"
"Kathy see Brian off" She just nodded to her mother.
My parent left in front while I was with a smiling Kathy.
"Don't think you can deceive me Kathy" I whispered to her ear and she smiled even wider making it seems as if I said one sweet word to her. I rolled my eyes and meet my mom smirking.
