Four years later....
"I wish I could go back to him. We loved each other but I betrayed him and don't wish to hurt him again". The female voice was interrupted by a child's own. " Mummy..." She turned.
" Hun, you are awake. Are you hungry?. The boy said nothing but hugged his dear mother.
" Okay Ann I'm leaving. I will see you later in the evening". Ann smiled. " Thanks for visiting Ben". She escorted him to the door and returned. Then returning to her son, said :
"Hun we are leaving to grandma's house. Hope you are okay with it?".
" Yesh mummy...I'm going to take a shower. See you". The little boy went inside happily. He was a young boy filled with greatness and inner joy. His skin was more like Harry. Even his eyes and lips were just a perfect duplicate of Harry. Ann went to her mom's house with the boy and as they were chatting with the grandma, Ann moved to greet her dad. She heard the old man on the phone.
" He has moved to the location where the secret safe is. Follow them and kill them there. Make sure before you kill them, you know the code to the locker. As soon as you get there, send me the location, I will be there soon". Her father said. Ann knocked on his door.
" Who's there?". Mr. Zanes said.
"It's me father".Ann responded. He ordered her to enter knowing that's it's his daughter. They spoke for a while and the little boy entered with a bouncy smile. It reminded him so much of Lucas and his late friend. He smiled at him and opened his arms. The boy ran into them smiling innocently. His phone buzzed as a message popped up. He looked at it quietly , then to the boy then his mother and stood up. " There's something I must attend to. It's really critical. I will see you later". He said and walked to the door as Ann stood up and her son held her hand. They all walked out of the room. After dinner, Mr. Zanes walked out to his car to be driven by his driver. Ann also followed to a taxi and boarded it paying a huge amount for the driver to take her around staying in track with the car before them. Her son was playing when she left after entrusting him into her mother's care. Her driver carefully followed her father's car. At a distance, they saw her father's car stop infront of a store house. A vehicle was already packed infront of the storehouse. Her father and two guards entered. They pulled out guns. Ann walked out of the taxi and headed inside. She hid behind a huge pile of woods. She heard Harry's voice, very cold and demonic.
" Who sent you here?. Tell me!" Harry ordered. The five people were all silent. Harry's guards had surrounded them. They were shot at the leg. Mr. Zanes appeared from behind Harry and pointed a gun at him from behind. He was ready to pull the trigger when Ann ran from her hiding place towards Harry. She pushed Harry and the bullet went straight into her rib. A child's voice screamed from the door.
"Mummy.....!!!!!!!!!. Harry turned to see Ann lying on the floor. She was loosing more blood. The child ran towards the girl on the floor.
" Mummy please wake up. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. Grandpa you killed my mother. I hate you...I hate you!. Mom no...". The boy cried. Ann raised her hand and touched his cheek. She kissed his forehead. " I love you hun". Ann said.
" Mom I love you too. I love you more than daddy even did. Mom don't leave me. Who is going to kiss me good morning, goodnight, good luck, I love you. Mom....I can't leave with anyone without you mom. You are my world mummy. I'm too young to be without my mom". Before the boy could finish, Ann's hand fell from his cheeks. She had gone into coma. "Grandpa are you happy now? My mother is dead. I won't forgive you". Mr. Zanes looked at the boy.
" You remind me so much of your father and my late friend. It's better I get rid of you". He pointed his gun at him. He pulled the trigger and shot the gun. There was no bullet, then someone shot him at his leg from behind. It was Harris. Someone pushed past him. The woman was running towards Ann's body. It was her mother. Harry carried Ann into his limousine and sitting in the car with the boy, he drove quickly to his hospital. The police took care of the rest and sent Mr. Zanes to the prison. Harry spoke to the doctor about Ann's condition and returned.
" Sir, will my mother be fine?". The boy asked Harry. Harry looked at the boy's eyes and lips, his skin were just like his.
" Mom will be fine. She just need more sleep okay. I will take care of her. Don't worry". Harry patted his head after these words and made him lie on his lap. His thoughts drifted to Ann. So this is his son with Ann. Why didn't Ann tell him anything about her pregnancy. Why did she leave in the first place?. She promised to stay so why did she leave. Harris came to them.
" I hope Ann gets well. I'm going to the court. Mr. Zanes is going to be sued today. You stay with Ann and the boy. I will be back". Harris left. Harry smiled weakly and left. Larry brought them food and some clothing. The little boy ate and Larry took him home. Mrs. Zanes sat down by Harry and signed.
" Harry my son...I'm sorry about the way my husband treated you. Navaro told me everything. Please I have two things to ask from you. Please forgive us all and take Ann back. She bore you twins. One died due to her miscarriage. Only one managed to survive it seem to be a miracle. The boy is no doubt your blood. You can't blame my daughter for doing so much wrong. Please understand. Take care of your son and her for me. I trust you". Mrs. Zanes pleaded.
" Mum... I promise to take care of my wife and son. I will protect them with my life". Harry vowed. Mrs. Zanes hugged him and kissed his forehead. She went inside to see Ann. After three weeks, Ann regained consciousness, the first person she saw was Harry. Then her son, then her mother, before Harris. They smiled in turn.
" Mummy....you are awake. Uncle Harry told me that you needed more sleep so I mustn't disturb you". The boy said. Ann sat upright and smiled she opened her arms and the boy ran into it. She kissed him on the cheek. " You have become a good and smart babe". They smiled at each other.
" Next time I will protect you". The boy said and Ann smiled. Her mother moved to her as the boy drew back.
" How is dad?. Ann asked.
" Dad was prisoned and was given life imprisonment. He died in prison few days ago". Her mother said.
" Thanks mom for being with me throughout. I don't know what I would have done without you". Ann appreciated and hugged her mother. Harris cleared his throat.
" May I interfere?. Ann and her mother nodded. " Well I'm glad to see you gain consciousness. That's all I was waiting for. Now I can go right? I'm off to California. I've got ten business trips packed up waiting for me alone. Spare me this time to go babe. I will be back to see you". He kissed Ann and left. He hugged his brother, his in-law and son. Mrs. Zanes and the boy went to escort Harris leaving Harry and Ann inside.
" Hi...how are you feeling now". Harry asked.
" I'm fine Harry. How about you?" Ann threw it to him.
" I'm happy to see you again after you left without any trace". He said.
" I'm sorry for what I did. But it was for good. And now everything is fine. My dad is dead finally." Ann said and smiled. " You can stay fine and leave your life now". She ended.
" Let's make up a new story. You and I and our son. I will be the best hubby and father this time. That reminds me. What's his name?".
" I named him after you*. Ann said and smiled. He smiled back and she held his hand." He is just your duplicate. I couldn't get any name in mind than yours". Ann laughed. Harry kissed her. Few weeks after, they got married. And lived well... Until..
