Chapter 10 - Chapter 8: The Room of Mirrors

The door they found on the other side led them into a strange, narrow room. The walls were lined with mirrors, each reflecting a version of themselves that seemed off—distorted, warped. Takumi stepped forward cautiously, his eyes scanning the eerie reflections.

"This place… feels wrong," Haruka whispered, her voice trembling. "Why mirrors?"

Ryo snorted, glancing around. "I don't know, but I don't like it. Something's not right here."

Takumi paused, his gaze narrowing as he took in the reflections. Each mirror seemed to be showing a different version of him—a different reality. Some were smiling, others were angry, some were distant, and others were filled with a sense of dread.

"What are these?" Haruka asked quietly, stepping closer to one of the mirrors. "Are they... are they showing us the truth?"

Takumi didn't answer immediately. He was trying to make sense of it himself. The reflections were unsettling. It was like the maze was showing them their deepest insecurities, their fears. But was it real? Was this what they truly feared?

He stepped closer to the mirror on his left, his eyes locking with the distorted reflection of himself. He saw a version of himself that was alone, wearing the headphones but seeming lost. It was the kind of loneliness he feared most—the kind that made him doubt his role as the leader.

He blinked, breaking the connection with the mirror. He couldn't afford to dwell on the fear. Not now.

"This is a test," Takumi said, his voice firm. "We can't let these reflections control us. We know who we are. We've already come this far."

But even as he said it, he knew that the hardest challenge was yet to come.
