"And very few compare to you."
He raised his chin with an elegant arrogance.
"I am Kang. I assume you recognize my name."

"I didn't come here to make friends."

His eyes flared—

Two blazing beams of heat vision detonated toward Kang.
Capturing the X-Men made Kang Alex's enemy.
So Alex would simply kill him.
Nothing else needed discussion.

Kang hadn't expected Alex to attack so abruptly.
His expression darkened.
This so-called "Homelander" was far too arrogant!
In the instant before the beams hit, Kang's helmet formed automatically, sealing over his head—
And he thrust out a hand—

A torrent of blue energy surged forth, blocking Alex's heat beams.
Simultaneously, Kang launched a counterattack.

His futuristic armor burst apart instantly, torn open like paper—
and the same force detonated his heart and internal organs in an instant.
Kang shot across the room like a meteor,
tore through a wall,
and crashed to the floor—
completely still.

"H-he's dead…"
"Kang is… dead…"

into a pile of pulp.

All the cell doors crumpled and tore free from their frames.
He stepped inside, smiling faintly.
"Everyone okay?"
"We're fine," Raven said, stepping out first.
She pointed angrily at the collar around her neck.
"Except for this damn thing—it shut down my powers."
Just as Alex expected.
He examined the collar with X-ray vision.
And—
There it was.
A built-in explosive failsafe.
He stepped back immediately.
Removing it recklessly would be a very bad idea.
He explained the situation briefly.
"We'll get Hank to take care of it back home. Don't mess with it for now."
"Tch. Shame." Cyclops folded his arms. "I wanted to deal with that bastard myself."
Emma Frost gave him a side-eye.
"Scott, with Alex here, did you really expect that man to still be alive?"
Cyclops paused.
"…Fair enough."

"The one who captured you was Kang," Alex said lightly.
"He's actually kind of a big name. I'll explain later."
"Lord Alex… I'm so sorry. It was my fault."
America Chavez stepped forward, guilt all over her face.
She hadn't expected her mistake to cause such a disaster—
to nearly get so many people killed.
"This isn't on you," Alex said gently.
"You'll understand once we're back."
He glanced at her collar.
"So even your powers were suppressed?"
"Yes… Lord Alex. I couldn't open portals at all."
Alex nodded.
So the collars weren't just anti-mutant tech—
they suppressed any superhuman abilities.
Only someone like Kang could mass-produce such a thing.

"Alright."
Alex opened a portal with the Infinity Gauntlet.
"Let's go home."
He ushered them through—
returning everyone safely to Krakoa.
