[Compared to you… I still fall short.]
As the two continued to argue, a new announcement echoed through the MOBA Battle Arena:
[Thirty seconds until enemy troops arrive on the battlefield!]
[Crush them!]
[Brother! Look! There are minions coming out of the crystal!]
—ID: Hashirama Senju
[I see them. What's so exciting about that?]
—ID: Tobirama Senju
[Are all the Senju this dumb?]
—ID: Izuna Uchiha
[Hmph. Pathetic tricks like this aren't even worth dancing for.]
—ID: Madara Uchiha
As the in-game comment feed scrolled wildly with chatter, Hayashi Ren had already reached the Crimson Tree Monster camp.
With the next prompt:
[All troops deployed!]
The ground cracked open with a snap! and a massive red beast arm burst from the soil—the Tree Monster emerged, roaring as it rose from the jungle floor.
Ren didn't hesitate for a second.
With a sharp "Bam!", he delivered a heavy kick straight into the Tree Monster's face.
"RAWR!!"
The beast howled, lifting a claw to smash down on him.
But Ren's eyes were razor-focused. He launched into a Leaf Shadow Kick, knocking the monster airborne and chaining multiple hits mid-air. The Tree Monster finally came crashing down, groaning—but before it could fully react, Ren followed up with two more rapid kicks.
It slammed its claw down again, but Ren dodged back at just the right moment, completely evading the blow. Then, with perfect timing, he countered with a clean punch right across the monster's jaw.
This MOBA Battle Arena wasn't like the old games from Ren's past life. There were no automated damage calculations—no fancy combat logic. It was simple: if you hit, you deal damage. And if you dodged precisely, you could even avoid basic attacks altogether.
"If Faker were here to see this, even he'd shout 'DAFAK!'"
Ren chuckled to himself.
[This kid's got some moves.]
—ID: Tobirama Senju, eyes lighting up as he watched Ren's fluid motion.
[Hahaha! Madara, did you see that? That's a kid from the Leaf Village!]
—ID: Hashirama Senju
[Tch. Just a brat.]
—ID: Madara Uchiha, still as dismissive as ever.
In Madara's eyes, Ren was laughably weak—so weak, in fact, that he didn't even belong on a battlefield at his age.
When he was twelve, the entire ninja world already knew his name.
Unaware of Madara's disdain, Ren continued chaining his combos. With another Leaf Shadow Kick, he sent the Tree Monster flying again, followed by two strong punches—wham, wham!—and then several finishing kicks.
Finally, he activated his Smite skill to finish it off.
The Tree Monster's health bar hit zero, and Ren claimed the Red Buff, leveling up to Level 2.
Now, he could choose to upgrade either Leaf Whirlwind or Leaf Rising Wind.
But he didn't level up immediately.
Instead, he glanced at the minimap.
Top lane: Shino and Kiba were peacefully farming.
Mid lane: Sasuko was comfortably farming waves. Shikamaru remained tucked under his turret, clearly uninterested in engaging.
That made sense. Sasuko was this year's top student, and someone like Shikamaru—who avoided trouble at all costs—wasn't going to risk a duel without a guaranteed kill.
Surprisingly, it was bot lane that was doing best. Naruko and Hinata were managing to pressure Choji and Ino, even landing a few clean hits.
"So Sakura's just following the system guide and farming jungle camps. She's probably clearing the Blue side right now."
Ren's mind quickly processed the situation.
"If I sneak into Blue Buff, I can ambush her. Guaranteed kill."
Without hesitation, he selected Leaf Rising Wind as his level-up skill, then cut toward the river.
The River Crab casually scuttled by—but Ren ignored it completely and slipped straight into Sakura's jungle.
[This kid… he's got guts!]

Being the analytical genius he was, Tobirama instantly saw through Ren's plan.
