The Dreambinder pierced Seth's chest, releasing a shockwave of golden light.
Seth screamed, his body unraveling.
The nightmare realm collapsed, the illusions vanishing. The battlefield trembled as Seth's form disintegrated, his screams echoing into the void.
Rey gasped for breath, watching as Seth's presence faded from existence.
The sky cleared.
Reality stabilized.
The nightmare was over.
Elsa let out a breath of relief. "We did it."
Gabriel closed his eyes. "The war is over."
Rey tightened his grip on his sword. But he knew the darkness would always linger.
Seth was gone...
But for how long?
A World Restored
The underground city rejoiced.
The people who had lived in fear for so long could finally breathe freely.
Rey stood at the edge of the city, gazing at the now peaceful sky.
Elsa walked up beside him. "What's next for you?"
Rey smiled slightly. "Well, I still have to find my home."
"Hey, Rey?"
"What"
"Take this band"
"What should I use it for"
"It's an artifact, so in case you need anything, you can talk to me with it"
And with that, Rey set off—toward the next adventure, knowing that true nightmares never truly die.
The morning sun stretched over the horizon as Rey stood at the edge of the village he had just saved. Smoke still rose from the remains of battle, and the people were busy rebuilding their homes, their spirits high despite the destruction they had endured.
Rey took one last look at the people he had fought to protect. The elder, a wise man with silver hair and a kind heart, approached him.
"You've done more than we could have ever asked, Rey," the elder said, his voice filled with gratitude. "But I can see it in your eyes—you have another journey ahead of you."
Rey nodded. "My home… I need to find it. My parents."
The elder gave him a small, wrapped bundle. "Food for the road. Wherever your journey takes you, may the stars guide your path."
With a final farewell, Rey slung his bag over his shoulder, adjusted the sword at his waist, and began his journey home.
