Chapter 1 - The Mysterious Beginning

In this modern world, where life moves fast and no one looks twice at what hides in the shadows... Kaito was just another student, tired of school, tired of life, and unaware that something dark was already watching him.

The morning was like any other. The streets were full of noise—cars honking, people rushing. Kaito, sixteen, messy hair and school uniform barely buttoned, ran toward the bus stop, nearly tripping.

"Ugh... Will this day ever end?" he muttered under his breath. "Homework, teachers, pressure... Is this all life is?"

Later, inside his classroom, the bell rang. Students rushed out laughing and yelling, but Kaito stayed behind, staring at a blank sheet of paper.

"What's the point of all this? I don't even know what I want to do with my life..."

As he walked home, something caught his eye—a glowing object falling from the sky. It was small, distant, but definitely real. His heart skipped a beat.

"What... was that?"

The object landed near the back of the school. Curiosity pushed Kaito toward the abandoned yard behind the gym. There it was—pulsing faintly, like it was alive.

He approached slowly.

"It's not just a rock. I can feel... something."

As he reached out to touch it, a sudden wave of darkness swallowed the area. Light vanished. A sharp pain pierced through his body.

"Aghhh—what's happening to me?!"

His bones cracked, skin shifted. His ears stretched, fangs grew, claws tore through his fingertips. He fell to the ground, screaming, helpless.

His reflection stared back at him from a broken mirror—golden wolf-like eyes, sharp features, monstrous limbs.

"No... This can't be me..."

Just then, a voice echoed behind him.

"So you finally awakened..."

He turned fast.

A girl with deep brown hair and calculating eyes stood at the edge of the yard. Calm. Observing.

"Who... who are you?!" Kaito growled.

The girl gave a faint smile.

"My name is Rina. I've been waiting for this moment."

"What do you mean? What's happening to me?!"

Rina stepped closer.

"You've been cursed, Kaito. You're not human anymore. And the world you're about to enter... is far darker than you think."

The night deepened around them. The city lights flickered far away, as Kaito stood at the edge of something he didn't yet understand—his body still trembling, his fate sealed.

And so began the story of Kaito—the boy who became a beast.
