Chapter 9 - Omake: It's Crossover Time End

(No one)

The skies above Xgard burned crimson as the merged worlds clashed in an apocalyptic free-for-all. Ultron Sigma's forces swarmed like locusts, heroes and villains alike fighting for survival.

And in the centre of it all stood Aaron Blackheart, his Devil Breaker arm crackling with vermillion energy.

"Alright," he muttered, cracking his neck. "Let's make this quick." He placed his finger on his ear, activating his communicator "I'm in position, get you crew together"

"[Copy that, good luck]"

"Won't even need it"

He rolled his shoulder and closed his eyes.

"LET'S GO!" An aura of red came to life around him. It was shinning with the intensity that made even the ground below his feet shatter.

All beings in Xgard turned and looked at the pillar of red light that appeared from the ground.

It made the Ultron-Drones changes objectives.

Deal with the threat.

Suddenly, all Ultron-Drones flew towards the Devil Hunter and….

SLASH*

A simple slash of his sword, cut through a hundred of the robots that tried to surround him

The crimson pillar of energy dissipated, revealing Aaron Blackheart standing amidst a ring of smouldering Ultron-Drones. His Devil Breaker arm hummed with power, the silver of his sword gleaming under the war-torn sky.

From the communicator in his ear, Tony Stark's voice crackled: "[Alright, show-off. We're moving on Ultron Sigma. Try not to steal all the spotlight]"

Aaron smirked. "No promises."

A new wave of drones descended, their weapons charging. Aaron didn't move.

Then-

"Judgement Cut End."

Space itself was sliced and torn appart. A sphere of vermillion energy expanded outward, slicing through hundreds of drones in a single, flawless motion. The severed halves of machines rained down like metallic hail.

"Target reassessment," droned the remaining drones. "Priority: Eliminate anomaly."

Aaron cracked his knuckles. "Cute." He brandished his sword with his two hands and smiled "Show me a good time Ultron"

--------------------------------

"He fights like a demon!" Captain America commented as he moved

"Worse," muttered Black Widow, flipping over a laser blast. "He fights like he's bored."

A sudden explosion rocked the battlefield as Dante crashed through a building, riding the carcass of a demonic Ultron hybrid. "WOOOHOOO! That's what I call riding!"

Vergil appeared beside him in a flash of blue, Yamato sheathed. "Your form is sloppy."

"Your face is sloppy."

"How mature" Vergil turned to Captain America "We've got the stone, Jedah Domah proved no challenge against us"

"Good" Captain America turned to the group "We shall wait for Iron Man to get the weapon that will kill Ultron, we have faced little to no resistance, so it shall be easier"

"It should be" Captain Marvel nodded

"Wait" Dante stopped the group "Jedah said something that gave me an idea"

"What a surprise, Dante had an idea" Vergil retorted

Dante huffed and just ignored that "You see, Jedah said that "Only the most noble souls are strong enough to bear the power of the Souls Stone". And…..."

"Ultron has no soul" Vergil ended "How interesting"

"Wait are you suggesting…."

"Yes, yes I am"

----------------------------

Aaron stared to the literal mountains of droids he destroyed, filling the streets of Xgard.

"You know, I expected a little bit more of resistance, but at this point it is just an annoyance" He walked and stepped on the head of another robot. Crushing it entirely.

"Now, what should I do?"

He turned to the palace where the main group was fighting the main boss. He just stared for a couple of seconds and then shrugged.

"Might as well…"

------------------------------

As Ultron Omega was born, its new form taking every one aback as it grabbed the Sparda twins and held them in a force filed that caused them damage.

"Agghh" Dante shouted in pain

"Uggh" Vergil grunted

Ultron Omega appeared on top of the mechanic head of its other part, staring down to the group of heroes

"We cannot be destroyed. We are perfect. We are Ultron Omega"

The group of heroes stared to the big metallic monster

"Spidey! The Stone" Captain Marvel shouted

"On it" Spider-man shot a web to Ultron Omega's hand and grabbed the stone.

The Soul Stone flew from Ultron Omega's hand and ended up being thrown back from the formation

And Thor catches it

"Thor – Destroy them" Ultron Omega ordered

But Thor, instead of attacking, used the Stone to heal his body from the mechanic virus that infected his body.

"I am not your puppet, Ultron Omega. You took my will, and my strength. But you shall not take-"

SLASH*

His speech was interrupted by the sound of a slash that tore the hands that held Vergil and Dante in the force field.

The both of them felt to the ground and saw the one responsible from getting the twins free

"Grandfather" Vergil muttered.

Aaron Blackheart stood to the from of the formation. The heroes watching as he walked to the front and rolled both his shoulders forward

"Everyone, stand back" His voice didn't let anyone room for questioning "I will handle THIS"

He unsheathed his sword and stared to the metallic monster

"You are an anomaly. A variable I did not account for."

"Well, not everyone can account for me screwing their plans. But yours end today"

"Irrelevant. You will be erased"

Ultron Sigma raised a hand, and a storm of energy gathered. Reality itself distorting as the Infinity Stones in his possession flared.

The robot threw a ball of concentrated energy towards the Devil Hunter, as he just stood there.

The ball closed in to the man. The heroes behind him almost moved to help him

But then, something unprecedented happened.

He swung his sword lazily, and the attack was sliced in half and turned into nothing.

Everything became silent as they saw what just happened.

Blinking once, blinking twice. Trying to see if what just happened was real.

Ultron Omega's mechanical eyes flared crimson. "Impossible. That attack should have erased you from existence."

"Buddy," Aaron cracked his neck, rolling his shoulders, "You have no idea who you're dealing with."

Ultron Omega roared, its form shifting as it prepared another reality-warping strike. But Aaron was already moving.

"Judgement Cut: Infinity."

Space itself screamed. Hundreds of slashes appeared in between the space of Aaron and Ultron Omega, slicing through Ultron Omega's defences like paper. The machine-god staggered, its systems scrambling to process the damage.

"ERROR. ERROR. SYSTEM FAILURE IMMINENT."

Aaron didn't let up. He vanished in a blur of motion, reappearing above Ultron Omega with his sword raised

"Begone"

With a final, earth-shattering swing, he cleaved through Ultron Omega's core.

An explosion lit up the sky.

The heroes covered themselves and the magic users placed shield to defend themselves. The entire palace was covered in dust.

Suddenly, a portal appeared behind the group. From it came Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Gamora and Ryu.

"Delivery for Ultron Sig- What happened here?" Iron Man stopped short as he saw the mountains of dust that gathered around the place.

"Let's clear this place" Doctor Strange waved his hands and moved the dust away.

The heroes managed to see everything now.

Sitting on top of the destroyed carcass of Ultron Omega, was Aaron Blackheart. As he held the Infinity Stones that the robot had in his hand.

"Well, that's all folks" He threw the stones towards the closest person, which turned out to be Morrigan

"…...You just defeated Ultron?" Iron Man asked

"Yep"

"Shit, now what?"

Morrigan caught the Infinity Stones with a playful smirk, her crimson eyes gleaming with mischief. The other heroes tensed, but she merely twirled the gems between her fingers like a magician performing a trick.

"Well, well," she purred, her voice dripping with amusement. "What a delicious turn of events."

Aaron sighed, already sensing where this was going. "Don't even think about it."

Morrigan's smirk widened. "Oh? And what exactly am I thinking, darling?"

"That you're about to do something stupid."

She laughed, a melodic sound that sent shivers down the spines of the less experienced heroes. "Stupid? Hardly. Ambitious? Absolutely."

The air around her darkened as she absorbed the power of the Infinity Stones, her form radiating an eerie, violet glow. The heroes braced themselves, but Aaron remained unfazed, his sword still lazily resting on his shoulder.

"With this power," Morrigan declared, her voice echoing with otherworldly energy, "I can reshape this world—no, all worlds—into my own playground. And you, my dear Devil Hunter, will be my king."

Dante groaned. "Ugh, not this again."

Vergil pinched the bridge of his nose. "Must we endure this every time?"

"Wait, this has happened before?" Spider-man asked

""Yes"" Both Vergil and Dante replied

Aaron rolled his eyes. "Morrigan, we've been over this. I'm married. I don't want anything to do with you"

"Oh, but you will," she countered, her wings spreading wide. "I'll make sure of it."

With a snap of her fingers, reality warped around them. The battlefield twisted into a grotesque parody of a wedding chapel, complete with demonic cherubs and a chained, unwilling priest.

Captain America blinked. "Is this really happening?"

Spider-Man shrugged. "At this point, I've stopped questioning things."

Morrigan floated toward Aaron, her grin predatory. "Now, my love, let's make this official."

Aaron sighed again. "You're really not gonna take 'no' for an answer, huh?"

"Not a chance."

"Fine."

In a blur of motion, Aaron unsheathed his sword and swung.

"Judgement Cut: Annulment."

Space itself split apart as a single, precise slash severed Morrigan's connection to the Infinity Stones. The gems clattered to the ground, their glow fading instantly. The twisted chapel dissolved, returning them to the ruined battlefield.

Morrigan staggered, her power dwindling. "W-What? How?!"

Aaron sheathed his sword. "You forgot one thing, Morrigan."

"And what's that?" she hissed.

"I don't play by your rules." Aaron smiled "I make my own"

With a final, defeated groan, Morrigan vanished in a puff of dark energy, her plans thwarted once again.

The heroes stood in stunned silence.

Iron Man cleared his throat. "So… anyone else hungry?"

Dante grinned. "Pizzas on me."

----------------------------------

Back at the base, the group gathered around a table piled high with pizza boxes. Vergil sipped tea with an air of detached dignity, while Dante inhaled his fourth slice.

Captain America shook his head. "I still can't believe we just… moved on from that."

Aaron shrugged. "Welcome to my life."

Spider-Man pointed at him. "You're terrifying, and I respect that. And is nice to see someone else having trouble with their love life"

The door burst open, and Nina stormed in, Vincent trailing behind her with Flufflefang perched on his shoulder.

"Aaron Blackheart!" she snapped. "You were supposed to be home hours ago!"

Aaron winced. "Uh. Oops?"

Nina's glare could've melted steel. "You're sleeping on the couch."

Dante snorted into his pizza.

Vergil sipped his tea. "Karma."
