Araluen Kingdom, Capital City Valeron, Castle Saefel, Throne Room
The Throne Room stretches over forty meters (133 feet) in length and thirty meters (100 feet) in width. A single red silk carpet, its edges embroidered in gold, runs from the three-meter-wide (10 feet) double doors up to the two steps that separate the nobles' floor from the raised platform of the royal family. Even seated on their golden thrones, carved in the likeness of rampant griffons, the royals look down upon all present—an ever-present reminder of their authority.
Crystal chandeliers, fueled by magic, illuminate the chamber fully, leaving no shadows and requiring no upkeep. Along the walls, enchanted tapestries replay, again and again, the great feats of the reigning King, marking him as worthy of his power. Both the marble floor and the towering pillars shimmer with veins of gold, forged from the most precious and enduring stone in the Araluen Kingdom.
The last of the guests arrive, each announced in turn. Then Cassi enters, moving with purpose to her place before the page. Her voice rings out as she begins the introductions.

As each child passes Cassi, her eye flashes green, and transformation follows:
Elysia transforms into Bahamut—head, hands, and tail of a Griffon, but the body of a Dragon clad in violet scales. Featherless wings sprout from her back, with membranous wings extending from her hips.
Aran grows to twenty meters (66 ft), a quadrupedal colossus with opposable thumbs, red scales as strong as shields, a five-meter neck, and black feathered spines running down to a seven-meter tail. Two vast feathered wings crown his form.
Raaz becomes a 1.78-meter (5'8") human of pure green, her hair shimmering with the six elements. Six eyes, each a different color, gleam as wings of each element unfurl behind her.
Elina takes the form of a black bird: body of an eagle, tail feathers resembling a peacock's radiant fan.
Rena shifts into a griffon—eagle's head and forelegs, lion's body, and silver-feathered wings upon her back.
Miyuki transforms into a towering beast, its body armored in black scales thicker than tower shields, with feline yellow eyes and claws the size of men.
Tista becomes a twenty-meter titan, her form wreathed in flaming red scales. Two vast silver-veined wings and a second pair of white-feathered membranous wings spread from her back. Seven elemental eyes, including a Spirit Eye, blaze upon her face. Horns and spines shield her crown and throat, while two spiked, bone-tipped tails lash behind her.
Morok Silverwing proclaims:
"Today, we crown not merely another Magus, but one who has earned titles in the Blood Desert, the Gorgon Empire, and the Araluen Kingdom. Today, we crown the Magus of Pangea."
Cassi's robe shifts—deep blue to violet, then shining white. Upon her back burns a crimson Phoenix, on her chest two black dragons encircle a Morning Star, and on her shoulders gleam golden griffons, proud and prancing.
Salaark declares: "Cassi Fray Child, you are the Void Magus of the Blood Desert."
Leenaai proclaims: "Cassi Fray Child, you are the Source Magus of the Guardian Empire."
Tyris intones: "Cassi Fray Child, you are the Cursed Magus of the Araluen Kingdom."
