===January 9 1995===
Hermione lay asleep against Harry as the train takes them back to Hogwarts. Luna and Ginny are asleep on the other side of the car. Cedric stands at the door. "Can I come in?"
Harry nods. "Everything okay?"
Cedric nods. "I wanted to ask if you've had any luck with the egg."
"I figured that out in the first 24 hours." Hermione mumbles half asleep.
"Seriously?" Cedric says. "I just figured it out last week."
"And you were going to be nice and drop a hint since we're only fourth years and didn't think we'd get it?" Hermione asks as she sits up
"No, I was hoping to talk to you two about your plans." Cedric says. "You dominated the previous challenge."
"We stocked up on Gillyweed, and plan on testing a couple of ideas in the lake." Hermione says. "I have no intention of going in the water, for obvious reasons." She motions to her belly.
"I was thinking of using the bubblehead spell." Cedric says.
"We considered that, as I use it in potions class." Hermione says.
"The problem is it limits your hearing, and that was a trade I didn't want to make." Harry says.
"I'll have to keep thinking then.". Cedric says.
"You might also consider enchanting what you are going to wear with heating charms." Hermione says. "Water in the lake isn't exactly going to be warm."
Cedric nods. "Thanks for the advice, guess I'll see you at the lake." He turns to leave.
"Hey, Cedric!" Harry calls out and Cedric turns back around. "What do you think we'll have to find?"
"The egg said the thing we'd miss most." Cedric says. "What would you miss more than anything else?"

Once they return to Hogwarts they slip down to the kitchens to see Dobby. The elves are all busy with the feast, in spite of that, Dobby appears in front of them in no time. "Master and Mistress return!" Dobby says.
"We promised we would." Hermione says.
"We have news." Harry says.
"What news?" Dobby asks.
"We found out we are expecting twins." Harry says.
"Two babies?" Dobby asks nervously.
"That's right." Hermione says.
"Are you going to be able to help us?" Harry asks.
"Dobby not sure." He says. "Dobby think on it."
They nod and let him go back to work.
===February 25 1995===
Hermione wakes and for the first time since they've been married she's not in Harry's arms. She looks around and doesn't see him. 'Harry?' She calls out through their bond.
When Harry doesn't answer she begins to get worried. She focuses her magic on her wedding ring and the old magic inside. Through the ring, she can feel Harry is alive, and it's cold but something else is wrong,
Not wasting any more time she gets out of bed, her 23-week pregnant belly not slowing her down as she dresses warmly. She leaves their suite and bumps into Ron.
"Hey, big day right?" Ron asks.
"What are you talking about?" Hermione asks as she stops and turns toward Ron.
"The second task is today." Ron answers.
Hermione's blood runs cold, she'd forgotten what day it was. She sighs and looks down at her ring, instantly she knows where Harry is, he's the thing she'd miss more than anything and she's his.
"Hermione?" Ron says hesitantly. "Are you okay?"
"Technically I'm fine Ron." Hermione responds as she takes a few deep breaths. "I have a few things I need to do." She looks up and her eyes are glowing blue. Ron quickly moves out of her way.
Hermione goes to McGonagall's office and enters. "Is something the matter, Missus Potter?"
"Someone entered our room last night and took Harry." Hermione says. "I'm supposed to rescue him as part of the second task."
"I would know if something like that happened." McGonagall says.
"Munin!" Hermione summons the dagger. "Would you let me see your memories?"
McGonagall nods as she touches the dagger. Suddenly she sees that Dumbledore came into her office and cast a spell on her the night before. "The headmaster." She gasps.
"Then I'll have words with him." Hermione says as she takes Munin back. She heads towards the Headmaster's office. As she gets to the Headmaster's office the gargoyle sits there blocking the stairway. "SUBITIS!*" The gargoyle moves and Hermione marches up the stairs.
Dumbledore is shocked to see someone enter his office uninvited. "Missus Potter, how did you get in here?"
"Rowena left a safeguard password." Hermione explains.
"Care to tell me what the problem is?" Dumbledore asks.
"Are you seriously going to pretend you didn't put Harry at the bottom of the bloody lake for me to rescue?" Hermione asks.
"I don't know what you are talking about." Dumbledore says.
Hermione hands him Munin. "Take it."
Dumbledore takes the dagger and feels the rush of his mental shield coming down. She sees Dumbledore sitting at this very desk, then rise as if under the imperius curse. He abducts Harry and modifies McGonagall's memory all while under the Goblet's control.
"Sorry about that." Hermione says as she takes the dagger back.
"It's understandable." Dumbledore says. "If I was to pick a hostage that one of you two had to rescue I'd have picked your cousin or Ginerva."
"I know," Hermione says. "The Goblet controlled you." She turns and leaves.
Hermione stands near the lake as the other champions start to arrive. Fleur walks up to Hermione. "Harry?" Fleur asks with a heavy accent. Hermione motions to the water not trusting her words. "My sister, Gabrielle."
"Cho Chang, my girlfriend." Cedric says as he comes up behind them.
"Ivan Druhn, my teammate." Viktor says.
"Taking Harry is wrong." Cedric says.
"And very stupid." Hermione says slowly as she looks up, her eyes still glowing blue. "I'm not sure how much longer I can keep my magic at bay."
"We should be starting soon." Viktor says.
"See you after." Fleur says.
"You be safe." Cedric says.
"The rest of you stay out of the water." Hermione says. "I can't guarantee your safety otherwise."
The other champions nod as they take their spots. A bang sounds announcing the start of the event. Hermione lets her magic flow, her robes bellow out, her hair stands up on end and a wave of magic and pressure emanates from her making a sound not unlike a sonic boom.
The wave rushes through the crowd knocking everyone standing off their feet. Then it hits the school, shattering every window. Just as suddenly as it spread the wave of magic returns, fixing every broken window and standing everyone back up before returning to Hermione, creating a translucent blue bubble around her.
As Hermione stands at the edge of the lake she wordlessly summons Rowena's grimoire. She holds the book up and it opens itself flipping to the spell she wants. She then steps forward and levitates in mid-air.
The crowd gasps as she walks above the lake right to the center of it. She holds her right hand, palm down out and then she raises her arm. In a brilliant flash the water in the lake vanishes leaving all the sea life flailing on the lake floor. Black clouds form above the lake. On the lake floor, the four hostages are tied to poles.
"Hugin!" Hermione summons the dagger and sends it down cutting through all the ropes. With a flick of her wrist, all four hostages float up to her. She turns and places all four of them in front of the judges then walks over to the judges.
"Satisfied?" Hermione asks. The judges nod, Snape rushes over to give the hostages the antidote. Right as he does it starts raining. The rain soaks everyone except Hermione, her magic swarms around her acting like a forcefield keeping the rain at bay. Each drop of water sizzling like it hit an ultra-hot surface.
"Missus Potter, before we judge you, do you think you could refill the lake?" Dumbledore asks, knowing full well that doing so was well beyond him. "Innocent lives are at risk."
Hermione stares at Dumbledore. "You're seriously going to lecture me about endangering innocent lives when you judges endangered four innocents? One of which isn't even old enough to have her wand yet!"
"Dumbledore told us what happened." Igor says.
"The Goblet forced all of us to abduct someone." Madam Maxime says.
"Then when this is over, and we're no longer bound to the thing. I'll be destroying the Goblet." Hermione says. She snaps her fingers, the rain stops. The dark clouds condense right over the lake and start spilling water like a waterfall quickly refilling the lake.
"Thank you." Dumbledore says.
"Obviously she gets full marks." Ludo says.

Harry and Hermione avoided the common areas for the rest of the day. Going as far as to go down to the kitchens and ask the elves for some food for lunch. It was now almost dinner time, and they knew that they needed to be seen.
So with that in mind they were quietly entering the Great Hall. It was obvious they had been spotted based on the fact that the Hall went entirely silent. They are walking to their normal spots at the Gryffindor table when they see Ginny pound the table twice before clapping.
Ginny does it again. Pound, pound, clap.
Soon other Gryffindors, first the muggleborns, then the rest follow suit. Pound, pound, clap. Over at the Ravenclaw table Luna starts it as well, the Ravenclaw's quickly following her suit. Amanda snickers over at the Slytherin table before going with the pattern, she elbows Draco and he joins in, the rest of Slytherin follow their example. Without hesitation Hannah, Cedric and the other Hufflepuff's join in. Soon the entirety of the Great Hall is in sync.
Pound, pound, clap.
Pound, pound, clap.
Ginny stands up and starts singing to the beat.
"Hermione, your a witch, awesome witch baby
Standing at the lake, went and did the task today
You know what they say, get outta her way, or else she's really gonna make you pay! Singin':"
All the Gryffindor's join her in a resounding chorus:
"She will, she will hex you!
She will, she will hex you!"
Luna steps up and walks so she's beside Ginny and starts to sing.
"She's gonna be a young mom, smart mom, baby
Casting a spell, she made the lake go'way.
Rescue hostages today, that's the way, She's gonna make those judges pay! Singin':"
The Ravenclaw students join the Gryffindors in the chorus.
"She will, she will hex you!
She will, she will hex you!"
Amanda quickly gets up and joins Ginny and Luna.
"Dumbledore's an old man, sad man buddy
Beggin' her to refill the lake today.
Despair on his face, that's such a disgrace, she done put him into his place! Singin':"'
This time every student joins the chorus.
"She will, she will hex you!
She will, she will hex you!"
The song ends and everyone starts clapping. Ginny escorts them to the table. "Where did you learn muggle music?" Hermione asks once they are seated.
"Your dad insisted on introducing us to everything muggle he could." Ginny answers. "We really like Queen."
"A lot of people do." Hermione chuckles.
