I was at a loss for words.
What was I even supposed to say?
The video stopped playing and Michael closed the laptop.
"That's the end of that," he said.
I sat still, my breathing was shallow. No one said anything but from the looks they were giving each other, Luca and Gabriel didn't seem to be the least bit surprised about the video.
It was Michael, it was all Michael.
And I was the one who brought him into the group. My chest ached. In a way, this was all my fault.
I wasn't going to deny it. I felt… out of place with them. I wanted someone like me, someone with a twisted past who would understand me and when Michael showed up in school, I decided that it would be him.
And he ruined me, ruined us.
Why? What for?
My skin itched. I was undoubtedly in the room that night, there had been other cameras in the room Luca took me to, cameras that Luca himself wasn't aware of. Not until later.
I was nothing but a puppet.
"You drugged me," I whispered.
