It didn't take long before my phone was back in my hands. I was scrolling through the comments and as expected, most of them were brutal.
"She's literally addicted to being in the headlines."
"So this is how you get roles these days? Absolutely disgusting."
"Of course, she finds another guy to latch on to."
"Another guy. Same desperation."
"Someone tell her it's not 2019 anymore."
"When you're not sure if you're acting or auditioning for his bed."
I locked my phone and dropped it on my bed, sighing. Like I thought, they were making me out to be the villain. Just then, the door to my room burst open and Cassidy entered with a frantic look on her face.
"Oh, thank goodness," she breathed and rushed to my side to hug me. "I'm so glad you're safe."
"Just coming back from the coffee shop?" I asked as I wrapped my arms around her.
"Yeah, I came as fast as I could."
