All of a sudden the portal appeared. But this time it was different! There wasn't one, there were three! The three tried to escape but the force was too much to handle and as usual they failed to do so. Each one got pulled into one of them. They were completely surprised would they reach the same place or would it be different?
Janhavi opened her eyes and found herself in someone's bed. By the look of it she was in someone's bedroom. And then she heard footsteps coming towards the door in front of her. She swiftly got up from the bed and was standing in a defense position. And then it happened, the door started opening, Janhavi's heart was racing, all of her body was frozen, her mind was filled with endless possibilities. And then she saw... a boy. Phew.. it's a relief he doesn't look angry or something and luckily he's not a vampire either.
"Hey! You alright? I found you collapsed in front of my house, so I brought you in. I called the doctor, he said you were just exhausted. How are you feeling now." The stranger asked with concern in his eyes.
"Yeah! I am alright! Thanks for all you have done for me."
"Is there anyone I can call for you?"
"Nope! That won't be necessary."
"Hey are you trying to kill me, come on, health is not a subject to be taken lightly. I need to inform your family about this as soon as possible. Do you understand?"
"The thing is I don't have a family."
"Oh sorry, then rest here till you're in good condition. By the way what happened to you?"
"I can take care of myself!"
"No, I am not letting you go until you are in good condition."
"But, I am alright!"
"No you are not! I don't want any argument!"
"Why are you so nice to me?"
"Cause, I don't want to regret anything later in my life. And if I let you go right now, I am pretty sure I will regret it later. I just want to avoid any mistakes I can. For some reason, I worry about you, what it is I don't know. So just let me help you. And so on this note, lie down and have a good sleep. Oh wait! You must be hungry! I will just bring you breakfast." And before she could intruput him, he was gone. So she had no choice but to rest. And after a few minutes he was back with a bowl of porrage, after eatimg it she was off to sleep.
Her eyes opened hearing the loud Huh! of someone. As soon as she opened her brown eyes completely, all kinds of noises engaged her ears. And then finally there was a sentence spoken "Why is a girl sleeping in his room?"
Janhavi looked around to see the owner of the voice. It was a boy she didn't recognize and his face was as pale as if he had seen a ghost. Before she could say anything the other boy whom she has assumed as the owner of the house entered.
"What's the matter Aakhand?"
"What's a girl doing in your room, asleep in your bed! I am pretty sure I have never seen her before!"
"Hey calm down! Just listen would you!"
"Yeah! I am listening! Go ahead!"
"The thing is... Amrita was going out and when she opened the door.... she saw her... passed out... in front of our house... I called the doctor... he said she was just tired.... and so I let her sleep in our house."
"You took an year from my life!"
"Well I never got the chance of introducing ourselves to you, I am Anant, this boy here is my younger brother Aakhand and there is also my younger sister Amrita." He told Janhavi.
"My name is Janhavi, and thank you for your hospitality!"
"So are you amongst those who ran away from their homes?"
"Yeah!" Janhvi lied to them for sake of her safety. Aakhand looked of same age as Jaivik while Anant looked like he was maybe an year older than her.
All of a sudden there was a boost of energy running towards her. She looked at the smiling figure and caught a sight of the cute girl. Maybe she is Amrita.
"I am Amrita, it's been a long time since anyone has visited us. It's gonna be fun."
"Hold on Amrita, did you finish your meal?"
"No.. I will eat it later."
"You are a good girl right!"
"Okay!" Saying this she left the room.
Janhavi was confused, from the way she looked the girl seemed to be at least 16 but she was acting like a 5 year old. Anant must have detected her confusion because just then he spoke "Ah.. it's just.. she is psychologically behind her age so..."
"I am so sorry... I"
"It's alright!"
"So where are you going to go now?"
"I'll just think about it."
"You know, you can stay here for a while, we would love that and Amrita likes you too."
"But I will be a burden for you!"
"It's not like that at all, listen.. Amrita is going to be happy if you stay here for a while, she doesn't have any friends and staying with you will be a change for her, so please accept. Your finances are not a problem at all. Just consider it once, it's going to be beneficial for all!"
Janhavi wanted to decline the offer immediately but had no choice but to accept. She wanted to know as much as she could about this world before making any move. It would have been devastating to roam aimlessly in a world she didn't know anything about so she agreed.
