Year 20 ATA (After The Awakening), 8th month, 0800 hours
-Oryza, Hakumai HQ-
A short figure of a person can be seen facing out the window, their desk covering almost half their body. The silence broke when a voice emerged.
??: I take it that you're all in agreement?
5 others were seated near the desk on 2 couches parallel to each other. One of them took a sip from their teacup and answered.
??: The 1st Division will oblige as always
A woman with black hair calmly placed her teacup on the table, her crimson eyes which sparkled like ruby gazed across the table looking at the person in front of her.
??: Naturally just like Ikki I have no reason to refuse, the 2nd Division agrees as well.
??: Of course you wouldn't Cynon, it would be strange for a division who does scouting to refuse. Personally I would rather just sit back until something interesting happens but going out once in a while should prove to be a good exercise. It's a yes for the 4th Division.
??: Oho? That's rare to hear you actually be willing to leave Winterblaze Island for once Morgana, did your ass get painful after sitting in your chair for so long you shut-in? Hahaha-
Morgana: Another word from you Jack and I'll give your face another scar, or perhaps I should just ease the burden on your neck by getting rid of your head?
An annoyed blue haired man sat across her, his hands were ready to summon his daggers.
Jack: Hahaha that's a good joke. Why don't you try it you witch?
??: That's enough, you're in the presence of our leader and other commanders. If you two wish to fight, then please leave this room. (I can't even enjoy my tea in peace, it's always like this with these two..)
A brown haired girl sat next to Ikki, her purple eyes gave a look of annoyance. She picked up the tea with her gloves and began to blow on it before taking a sip, smiling while doing so.
??: Mm the tea from Oryza HQ is as good as ever, although it can't compare to my own Springleaf Island's tea. Ahh yes my apologies for the late response Ms Zephyr, my 3rd Division agrees as well.
Zephyr: Mhm that's good, I take it you have no objections as well Jack?
Jack: HAH, as if i'd pass up the chance to dice up some strong people. You guys can have all the small fry. This is getting exciting hahah-
The man with the scar on his eye and face full of white & black makeup laughed as he made a grin with his tongue out.
Morgana: Tsk, what a bird for brains. I don't even know why you're a commander..
Zephyr: Now now Morgana, Jack's eccentric nature aside, he has the skills to back it up. After all he's never failed nor abandoned a mission no matter the difficulty. It goes to show that both him & his division are talented.
Jack: You heard that shut-in witch? Hahaha compared to your backup division that just lazes around I actually do my job well hahaha-
The white haired woman clenches her fist but backs down and picks up her tea. Her cold green eyes give him a look of disgust.
Morgana: Say what you will clown, my division is talented enough to support all 5 other divisions should the need arrive.
Cynon: Speaking of which, where's Kira? Shouldn't she attend in person for this meeting? I figured being always at Oryza HQ she'd be the first one to be here.
Zephyr: She's currently overseeing a magical healing exam for new members in her division, as you know the 6th Division is divided into 2 groups, Logistic & Healing. While she does oversee everything, the healing group has more of a priority since healers are rare. Which is why her vice commander Jeanne is taking over her duties in the meantime. I'll be sure to pass on the summary of this meeting to her. If there's nothing else that the rest of you would like to add, then this meeting is dismissed. I look forward to hearing good news.
-Frontal Port Station, Alpha City-
0800 hours
Sylvana: (*Yawns*)
Argo: Didn't sleep well last night?
Sylvana: Are you kidding? Who could sleep well knowing they'll be going to another planet the next day? Just thinking about it gets me excited!
Argo: Haha.. (I couldn't sleep either but it's because I ate too much last night, the food was just so delicious. Thinking about that hamburger steak again makes my mouth drool. Not that I can tell Sylvana that.. She'd be laughing it off for the duration of the train ride. Speak of the devil)
A curved shaped front of a train pushes its way through the wind and comes right to a stop.
The doors opened automatically and the two of them boarded.
Argo: (The Lightspeed Express was impressive as it is, but this is on another level.. As expected of the 3rd generation express line, the carts were spacious and everyone had their own seat! The windows were wide and the roof of the train was transparent! The ride should only be about 30 mins but this was more than what I was expecting for such a short trip. Of course Sylvana is already in her seat..)
Sylvana: Ahhhh that hits the spot!!
She laid comfortably in her seat while putting on her headphones.
Sylvana: Hey Argo, wake me up when we're there kay? G'night-
Argo: (And there she goes, well I'll take my seat as well)
Not long after, the train started moving. It passes through an extremely large bridge which at the end of it sits an even bigger portal which is in the heart of the frame of a large circular gate. The train enters the portal which shows an endless landscape of what seems to be white sand and bright rainbow-ish skies. It's called the gateway dimension, a space in between the portal that leads from Tellus to Aspheria.
Argo: (I stared into the endless scenery out the window. Before I knew it, I had also fell asleep and was only awaken by a sudden tap to my shoulder)
Train Staff: Excuse me sir, we have arrived at the destination.
Argo: Mm- (I rubbed my eyes and my vision became clearer. A woman was standing next to me with a smile) Ahh I must have fallen asleep, thank you for waking me.
The woman nodded and continued walking down the cart to check for other passengers and items that may have been left behind.
Argo: Hold on.. Where did Sylvana go-?
He took a quick glance of what seems to be an empty cart aside from himself & the woman who awoke him.
Argo: (*sigh*.. Don't tell me she already went ahead to find the adventurer's guild..)
He picked up his bag and left the cart in a hurry. Right outside the cart, there was a small crowd. There seems to be a fuss going on. To his surprise he saw a familiar figure with silvery-white hair in the middle of it.
Sylvana: Like I said, you're not my type so beat it Cook!
??: The name's Brook!! Well I'll forgive you for bumping into me if you just have a meal with me, what do you say hot stuff? It's on me.
Argo: (What has this girl got herself into.. I hope she doesn't accept his offer,she may be an idiot but this is food we're talking about! No no no even she wouldn't be that gullible right? Then again it's Sylvana we're talking about here, she would never pass up free food)
He heads in her direction but before he could even reach her, she clenches her fists and shows her crest.
Sylvana: I, Sylvana Skoll, Warrior Class, challenge you to a duel. If I win you and your bald head better get out of my sight.
Brook: Ohh? You're challenging me? You'd better not regret it. I, Brook Howzer, Guardian Class, accept your challenge girly.
The crowd started gossiping around
Bystander 1: Did he say Guardian Class?
Bystander 2: He did, the girl's only warrior class.
Bystander 3: Hold on, is that Brook Howzer?? He's that adventurer who's said to have slain a dangerous wild mythical beast!
Bystander 4: Really? Woah! What's he doing here then?
Bystander 3: Maybe he's here to join Hakumai?
Bystander 1: No way.. Hakumai only accepts members if they feel like it.. But I suppose if he's the one maybe they will consider, why else would he be here in Yorome City.
Brook: I'll see you in an hour at the Yorome Stadium, prepare to lose because you're going to be having lunch with me girly hahah-
The big guy laughs as he walks away. Eventually the crowd dispersed.
Argo: What were you thinking, challenging someone who's clearly a rank higher. It hasn't even been an hour since we got here. Also you didn't wake me up when we got here..
Sylvana: Normally I couldn't care less and just walk away but he mocked the Vanquisher, calling him a loser who left Hakumai.. I won't let that stand!
Argo: Well you got into this mess so you'll have to resolve it yourself. Plus a duel is sacred so it can't be withdrawn. Win it fast so that we can head to the adventurer's guild afterwards, i'll be watching from the sidelines.
-Yorome Stadium-
0945 hours
Argo: (Wow this palace is packed, I never would've guessed that this many people would watch their duel. I've heard that this stadium was built specifically for duels and that anyone can use it at any time to resolve matters but I didn't think that it would be this crowded. I guess people really love the entertainment of 2 people duking it out huh?)
Announcer: Welcome once again folks, this time we have a duel between these 2. On the right we have the fired up newcomer, Warrior Class Sylvana Skoll! On the left we have a 27 time win streak in duels, the mythical beast slayer, Guardian Class Brook Howzer!
Without further adieu, let's start this match!
Mediator: Both fighters at the ready!
Her crest glows, 2 twin dark silver blades with a weirdly shaped hilt emerges and she stands in position, holding each blade in her hands. Brook's crest glowed as well with dual axes emerging. The dual battle axe shined gold as the sunlight reflected its sharpness. He held them and got into position as well.
Sylvana: A dual wielder as well huh? This should prove slightly entertaining.
Brook: Don't kid yourself, I'll make this quick girly. I've never lost after all.
Sylvana: We'll see about that.
Mediator: Begin!!
