Garrett Vincent was totally surprised when Rachel actually approached him. I mean, she always seemed to want to keep him at a distance.
But when he found out why she was there, he was seriously taken aback.
"You want to attend the charity gala tonight?" Garrett asked, just to be sure.
"Yes," Rachel replied, her eyes full of hope. "Is that... okay?"
"There's nothing wrong with that," Garrett said. "But you have to tell me why you suddenly want to go. It can't just be to chase after some celebrity, right?"
After all, this gala had a ton of top stars, which naturally drew in loads of fans.
"If you just wanted to meet a celebrity, I could help with that," he added. Anyone in the entertainment industry would give him that much respect.
"I want to see Jonathan Quintero and Patricia," Rachel explained. "I heard they'll be there tonight."
"See them?" A look of pure confusion crossed Garrett's face. "They are attending, but... you and they...?"
