"I'm fine. Kieran took me to his villa to rest for the night," Josephine said softly, feeling a wave of embarrassment rise in her chest. She didn't dare mention that she had actually spent another night with him.
During breakfast, Kieran looked at her seriously, his tone low and calm. "If you keep doing that to me, and you dare not take responsibility, you'll be in big trouble."
Josephine blinked, completely speechless. Wait—wasn't it usually the girl who said things like that? How did it end up being the guy demanding accountability this time?
"Will you take responsibility?" he asked again, his gaze locking onto hers, sharp and unrelenting.
"Uh... I will," she muttered quickly, nodding under his intense stare.
Thinking back on what happened that morning, Josephine couldn't help but feel both flustered and giddy. Being forced to take responsibility by Kieran didn't sound so bad after all.
