"What kind of place is this, anyway?" Rachel asked, curiosity sparkling in her eyes at Josephine's mysterious tone.
"Oh, you'll see when we get there," Josephine giggled softly, covering her mouth like she was hiding some big secret.
Rachel couldn't help but roll her eyes.
That sly smile on Josephine's face reminded her of those mischievous side characters in TV dramas, the kind who always dragged the main character into chaos.
When they finally arrived at the so-called "great place," Rachel froze.
It wasn't some fancy lounge or stylish café like she expected... it was a basement bar.
The air was heavy with the beat of loud music, neon lights flashing across a crowd of high schoolers and college kids, most around seventeen or eighteen.
There were a few older faces, but Rachel and Josephine definitely stood out.
"What's so great about this place?" Rachel asked, frowning in confusion.
"You'll find out soon enough!" Josephine said with a wink.
