Rachel felt her face heat up a little. Biting her lip, she turned to Lauren and said, "He's my boyfriend."
"Your boyfriend?!" Lauren's eyes widened in shock.
She had sensed a bit of chemistry between them earlier, but still, Rachel having a boyfriend?
And this kind of guy? She didn't see that coming at all. He seemed...Enigmatic.

Even though he smiled and looked friendly on the surface, her instincts were screaming something different.

"Yes, my boyfriend," Rachel repeated.

"Hello, I'm Jeffrey," he said back.
