Lauren glanced out the window. It was totally cloudy. The sun wasn't even out.
"By the way, Liam's going to have surgery. My mom and I will be staying at the hospital to take care of him for a few days, so I'll be taking a short break from the shop. But don't worry, I'll still get paid," Lauren said. "I'll message you when I'm back."
"Okay," Rachel replied. "Let me know when Liam's surgery is over. I want to hear that everything went well."
"Will do." Lauren smiled. Even though closing the shop for a bit would affect business, her son's hearing was way more important right now.
