When he told her he was an illegitimate child, she smiled brightly and said, "So what if you're a bastard? You are you, a one-of-a-kind person in this world. A person's achievements aren't decided by whether they were born out of wedlock."
"Don't you think my birth is shameful?" he asked, a bit of insecurity in his voice.
What did she say back then?
With a serious look, she replied, "I think your parents were irresponsible with marriage. If they had a child, they should've gotten married. If they couldn't marry, they should've stayed away from each other or at least used protection. Isn't it said that any relationship without marriage in mind is just messing around?"
It was the first time someone had ever spoken about his parents like that right in front of him.
But she didn't know that sometimes, relationships without the goal of marriage were more complicated, full of different motives and interests.
