Chapter 2 - "The Rise of a Legend”

Xian Li was born in a countryside village. During his birth, his mother met with an accident and died. His father, in pain of his wife's death began acting like crazy. Few days later, when he couldn't bear the pain, he decided to leave this world and killed himself with a piece of wood broken from a chair. Yes, you heard it right. He killed himself with a BROKEN PIECE OF WOODEN CHAIR!!!! Xian Li, who was still just a few days old, was picked up by a mysterious old man who took him up.

"Hmm? A potential match?" An old man with long white beard covered in a blackish grey robe, his face covered in dirt spoke as he looked at a mesmerizing child who looked too beautiful to be ignored. The child had blue eyes like pearls and white hair as if made of pure white gold after countless years of work.

"His hands match perfectly, his personality- 80 percent, his beauty- more than perfect, his Karma- none, which is to be expected as he was born recently. He… is just perfect to be the heir of that sword." The old man had a smirk on his face as he murmured. His eyes were shining as if he was finally free from a torture he was facing from millions of years. "After I train him for 10 years, I will finally be free from this punishment. Finally, after 103 million years of constant searching did I found him." The old man had a look of relief on his face. He changed his feeling from relief to determination. "I must train him properly lest I want to face into this torture again."

He looked at the boy in his hands as he said, "You,... you must live up to my expectations The Gods have for you. So I, The Great Ancestor of Sword, Hereby declare you the Heir of Celestial Blade made by the Gods themselves, with The Heaven as witness... Xiao Li!!!"

Just as the old man said his, the sky began to change. A Golden light descended from The Heaven and engulfed Xiao Li as he began to levitate in air. The surroundings began to shake, as in fear of The Gods and The Heaven.

It was a Celestial Phenomenon!

There has been only one such Phenomenon from the creation of this world till now, and it happened when this world was created. As the world was just created, there was no one to witness, absolutely nothing. So, this was the second time this was happening with only the old man who called himself 'The Great Ancestor of Sword' as its witness aside from The Gods and The Heaven.

...

10 years later.

A little boy with white hair and blue eyes, with a Heavenly, Mystical Sword was sparring with an old man covered in a robe and his face visible to none but the young boy himself. That old man and the young man were none other than The Great Ancestor of Sword and The Heir of The Celestial Blade, Xian Li respectively.

Even though the old man was just toying him, his skill while doing so had surpassed even the greatest in this world. Xian Li, on the other hand was having difficulty in parrying the attacks of the old man. His attacks were almost untraceable and unpredictable to the current Xian Li.

Finally, some time later the spar ended after Xian Li fell because of being utterly exhausted.

"You have been working hard, kid." the old man revealed a smile to Xian Li. But Xian Li, being too tired to even speak, just nodded while having long breaths.

The old man looked up at the sky and said to Xian Li, "It's time, kid. It's time for me to go back from where I came from."

"Huh?"

Xian Li had a confused and worried look on his face. he hurriedly said-

"Where are you going, Master? Please don't go anywhere!"

Xian Li requested his master to not leave him but it was to no avail as the old man had already begun to slowly break down into small particles like dust. but before going, the old man left one thing, His last message. It said-

"Be kind, for you are a human. Be courageous, for you are a swordsman. Be respectful, for you are not yet the strongest. Be proud, for you are..... The Chosen One!"
