Everyone knew they were Nen users; strength wasn't something easily judged by appearance.
Their arrogance suggested they had something to rely on. Yet, with such ease, Loki effortlessly blocked Genthru's attack with a casual movement.
The stark contrast between Loki's faint Nen aura and Genthru's surging Nen was striking.
Genthru's Nen was terrifying; dodging it wasn't surprising, but a head-on clash where Loki used only a minuscule amount of Nen to block Genthru's powerful Nen-infused punch was unbelievable.
If the situation were reversed, it wouldn't have been so shocking. Genthru had undoubtedly trained his Nen far longer than Loki. It should have been a one-sided suppression, but Loki had effortlessly blocked the attack, showcasing a clear difference in skill.
Everyone stared at Loki.
"Did that kid use some special ability?" a player whispered.
Others wanted to agree, but the exchange had seemed completely ordinary, not requiring any special abilities.
"That little Nen blocked Genthru's attack! Unbelievable."
"Genthru, did you hold back?"
Unable to believe Loki's feat, they suspected Genthru. They'd rather believe Genthru had held back than accept Loki's casual defense.
Genthru's expression calmed, his eyes fixed on Loki. 'This kid!' 'He's no ordinary person!' Others suspected he'd held back, but he knew he hadn't.
At the moment of Loki's intervention, he'd sensed an incredibly powerful Nen flash, but only for a moment. He couldn't be sure if it came from Loki.
Regardless, the kid was strange, and his companions were equally suspicious.
They'd remained passive while their supposed boss was attacked.
Either they believed Loki could handle it, or the Nen burst had been from one of them.
This realization made Genthru grab Loki's wrist. He'd forgotten about his plan.
Even if the plan succeeded, he wouldn't be satisfied without venting his anger. He had to kill this brat today.
Genthru's amiable expression twisted into a cruel sneer. "Die, you brat! You blocked my punch, so try blocking this!"
"A pinch of gunpowder!!"
Boom! Loki's wrist exploded.
The flames spread, creating a powerful blast of wind.
As the smoke cleared, the surrounding players scattered. Genthru immediately distanced himself after the attack, focusing on the remaining two—Hisoka and Pakunoda.
"Why did it explode?" a player asked.
A stronger player replied, "Idiot! That's Genthru's ability. Didn't you hear him say 'a pinch of gunpowder'? That's what he used!"
"Powerful! He used Nen to simulate an explosion!"
"That kid's dead, right?"
"That explosion would kill anyone who didn't defend with far greater Nen."
Hisoka and Abengane jumped aside, followed by Pakunoda. The players frowned. Genthru looked at them; their expressions remained unchanged.
He wondered, 'That kid was their boss, right? They don't react to his death?'
Suddenly, a gust of wind swept through, dispersing the smoke. Loki stood unharmed, smiling at his wrist.
"Was that your full strength?"
Genthru froze, staring at the unscathed Loki. His eyes widened. 'Impossible! My pinch of gunpowder attack didn't injure him? How is this possible?'
"Pathetic attack! That explosion was barely stronger than a grenade, not even comparable to a rocket!"
Everyone gasped.
The kid compared Nen to weaponry. While Nen was powerful, it was the first time they'd heard it compared to conventional weapons.
Genthru adjusted his glasses, staring at Loki.
Loki suddenly looked up at everyone.
"Speaking of explosions... I can do that too."
Loki stated this calmly. Genthru smiled.
'Explosions too?
He couldn't possibly have the same ability.'
He looked at Genthru's smile.
"You don't believe me."
Genthru ignored Loki, his gaze shifting between Hisoka and Pakunoda.
'The attack failed.
That Nen burst was likely from one of them. Otherwise, that kid would be dead.'
Loki remained silent. Genthru glanced at him. 'That kid is insignificant; those two are the real threats.
One against three is a disadvantage. If my companions hadn't separated, these enemies would be nothing!'
The other players were still reeling from Genthru's attack.
Such power was beyond their capabilities. They'd assumed everyone was at a similar level, but Genthru's power far surpassed theirs.
"Everyone! Let's capture these three! We can't let them leave so easily. If they're scouts for the violent players, our gathering will be compromised."
Genthru couldn't confidently take on Hisoka and Pakunoda alone, but with the others, he could temporarily restrain one while dealing with another.
After exchanging glances, the other players stepped forward.
They couldn't let Loki's group leave without explanation.
"Let's do this!"
"They ignored us; they weren't here to talk."
"There's no point talking to such players."
"Don't worry about the kid; we'll focus on the other two."
Genthru was finally relieved; he wouldn't be facing both Hisoka and Pakunoda at once.
He wouldn't lose.
