Chapter 153 - HHES: Chapter 153

Loki finally felt his energy fully restored, the fatigue completely gone. He also noticed a significant increase in his Nen.

'So, fighting really is the best way to boost power,' he thought.

He went downstairs; he'd slept for a whole day and was ready to focus on his system tasks.

In the dining area, Pakunoda and Hisoka sat at opposite ends of the long table, a significant distance apart, quietly eating.

Loki spoke. "Why are you sitting so far away? We're temporarily allies!"

"Temporarily," Hisoka replied.

Loki couldn't argue. Baise had prepared bread and coffee for Loki; he wasn't picky about food, just needing to fill his stomach.

"Let's all enter that Greed Island game."

"I haven't asked why you're so interested in this game," Pakunoda said.

Loki took a bite of bread. "To find a Nen remover."

"There's a Nen remover in Greed Island?"

Hisoka interjected. "Wait, a Nen remover? Why a Nen remover?"

"It's fine to tell you. I need a Nen remover to help Chrollo remove a Nen ability."

"The purpose?"

"I want to know things he can't say right now."

"I see!" Hisoka nodded. "I knew being with you would be interesting."

An ability that prevents Chrollo from speaking suggests someone stronger than him did something to him. Hisoka was excited, like he'd found a new, mysterious toy.

Goreinu entered with food, sitting opposite Loki without noticing the extra person. He felt despair. He'd thought this was a perfect job—high pay, easy work—but it was a death sentence. He looked up at Loki, dejected.

Suddenly, the room fell silent. Hisoka smiled at him, Pakunoda eyeing Goreinu. Loki maintained his smile.

Thud! Goreinu tried to stand but fell, nearly knocking over the table. The three simultaneously picked up their food. Goreinu, drenched in spilled juice, stood up hastily, bowing to Loki.

"Sorry... I'm new... Baise... she..." he stammered.

"Quiet!" Loki said. He hadn't expected Baise to hire Goreinu, whose two gorilla Nen beasts were quite useful. "Eat."

Loki resumed eating. This calmness surprised Goreinu. This wasn't the murderous monster he'd imagined; he felt no aura from Loki. If he hadn't seen him, he wouldn't have known he was there.

'He really did attack the Hunter Association. This strange feeling is new,' Goreinu thought, calming down and sitting back down.

Pakunoda finished eating. "While you slept, the Hunter Association decided to lift the Hunter Restriction to use any means necessary against you."

Loki paused his coffee. He muttered, "Restriction..." That meant he could be targeted with nuclear weapons if discovered. Even at his current strength, he couldn't withstand a nuclear weapon. Loki frowned.

"Leave this to me," Baise said, entering.

Loki looked at her. "What can you do?"

Baise smiled mysteriously. "Come to my room."

Hisoka watched Loki with a twinkle in his eye.

Soon, Loki reappeared. Hisoka, Goreinu, and Pakunoda stood, staring at Loki as if they'd seen a ghost.

After a long moment, Goreinu exclaimed, "Amazing! No trace left behind!"

Hisoka nodded. Pakunoda said, "If I hadn't seen you go in and out, I'd have thought another child had come in."

Loki's crimson hair was now tied back, revealing his features. This small change made him look completely different.

He'd also removed his white cloak, changing into a brightly colored shirt and pants, appearing almost feminine from a distance, though closer inspection revealed his masculinity.

"This should prevent easy identification. And a slight vocal change will be perfect," Baise said, a triumphant smile on her face.

'I've wanted to do this for a while now! Loki-chan!'

A white light formed a tunnel-like portal. Loki stepped into it. The white light vanished, and Loki was in Greed Island.

A strange room. The floor, walls, and ceiling were black and white, faintly shimmering with multicolored light. It looked surreal.

Loki walked forward. A door with strange symbols opened.

"Welcome to Greed Island. I will guide you through the game. First, please enter your name."

"What is your name?"

Loki looked at the girl. He vaguely remembered her name: Eta! She was one of Greed Island's creators.

Eta felt a chill as Loki looked at her, sensing she'd been seen through.

"Yohane. Loki can't use his real name; he must use this name to log in."

"Understood. Logging in..."

Eta subtly observed the player. His aura was ordinary, nothing special.
